My Adjustment Bureau steel holds 3 discs, so they could easily fit 3 blu's in there and supply the digital copy via a download code. This is what I'd prefer at least...

The Play.com/20th Century Fox-made Alien Anthology steelbook had an inner tray designed for it to fit 4 dsics so this one could easily be the same - 2D, 3D, bonus and DVD/digital discs - especially being another Fox/Play steelbook.

1. In some cases, SteelBooks are given a disc tray if the set has to house more than three discs; this was the case with the Alien Anthology SteelBook that was released by Play last month.

2. Whether I read it or not (and I did), I'd still comment about the absence of artwork on the SteelBook's page in the Blu-ray database as there was no artwork there when it was first put up. I don't understand your logic, lol.

I've seen normal sized Steelbooks designed to hold up to 6 discs. They just add either a single or double disc tray. One of the mass effect 3 preorder steelbooks is like that.

That was a G1 steel though. G2 steels can hold a max of 4 discs. Any more than that and they have to go Jumbo G2.

yeah that would be G1, I have the Al Pacino collection on dvd which has 6 discs in a G1 steelbook.
G2 (blu ray size steelbook) can only hold up to 4 discs

If you had all read my comment PROPERLY, you would've noticed that I said "added in at a later date", meaning you, for example, can't buy a steelbook with 2 disc hubs, and then buy a seperate bit of plastic and just clip it in.

I am well aware that more than 3 disc hubs can be BUILT in during production, but that was not the point I was making.

Not bad. Too bad that you'll also need to include AVP 1 and 2 to get the entire Alien mythos, not to mention Predator 2 at least, for the Xenomorph skull that made an appearence in it.

I've taken the details from the French blu-ray set, which from what I can see, doesn't consider either AVPs as canon anymore.

theres no point buying a set with alien 1-4 + prometheus cause promtetheus will have 2 sequels so might as well wait for the full monty.

Very true. But nevertheless, it exists and hence my mock steelbook.

Also, that's like saying to all the folks who bought the BB/TDK steelie there was no point to that either cos TDKR will be out by year end.

I'll be honest. I much prefer to buy individual steelbooks for a franchise rather than a box set version even if they are more expensive on average but what swung it with Aliens quadriology was the fact the artwork looked good. I preffered it a little to the stand alone release artworks i seen so far for the MM editions.

Prometheus looks amazing though as a stand alone steelbook. I can only hope Play.com get individual steelbooks sometime down the line or even HMV. I'd buy the seperate versions then i guess assuming the artwork is good

Then I don't think you read the OP's post properly as he was asking if the steelbook would be 4 discs with an insert tray included at the point of production -

Quote:
I did read it but I couldn't see anything about the number of discs. I'm curious to see if Play have included the bonus Blu-ray disc (with tonnes of features) or left it out so they won't have to insert a disc tray.
Your reply came across as "No, that's not possible, the bonus disc will only fit if you dump the 3D one". You're right, you can't insert one later on but the rest of us were just clarifying to better answer the OP's question

The films last 20 minutes are a really crapfest but this has to be bought due to Ridley Scoots input on bd extras. His commentaries are excellent and the features are superb.

I've watched the extras on black hawk down more then the film itself.

Against my better judgement, I've pre-ordered the steelbook.
Also got a ticket last night for an all nighter Prometheus, Alien, Aliens, Alien 3 and Resurrection event at my local indie cinema for next month.
