He never really got a chance at aston villa but every club he was at he had a good goal record

It was the way Bent left that really left a sour taste in my mouth. Decent goal scorer but in my opinion, I also think he is overrated. Much prefer Stephen Fletcher, great first touch, footballing brain, great in the air and unselfish. Double figures for the season and best 12 million we have spent.

Darren Bent at this stage in his career needs to find the right club for him to settle down

I know. I just don't see him settling down at a club. In my opinion, if he can't be happy at Sunderland, he won't be happy anywhere. He had fans that loved him, playing in front of 40'000 fans at home, superb away following, excellent stadium and great set up. He was also scoring on a regular basis.

Loyalty for four years should not be a problem for footballers.

Well, I can't return until after I've recorded it (if it's on TV that is) so, knowing my schedule, there will invariably be a delay before I can comment.
