$90 million a year would still take 45 years to get to $4 billion.

I'm more curious and excited than anything. After all the backlash when they bought Marvel, yet that turned out just fine. So I won't throw rocks too soon.

this is crazy! Man disney is gonna quadriple dip EVERYTHING! lol and of course we will buy haha gonna be interesting to see what they do with future Star Wars shows, Movies, etc, and same for Indy.

Theyve been partners for years tho no? Rides and attractions in Disney. Lucas probably figured no one close wanted to take over and plus Disney is buying everything lately...why not? lol

hopefully we get decent films

Why is everyone so down? Seems like everyone was mad about the prequels. Pixar is absolutely amazing. Disney has done wonders with Marvel. The past few years Disney seems to have a very good track record. Sure they are out to make money, but if it is a good product who cares! I am stoked!!

I love the Star Wars films. Like so many others, they are the films that sparked my interest in cinema. With that being said, I do not want any more Episodes. The story ends with "Jedi."

Disney knows what they are doing. They will NOT screw this up. They already invested $4 billion into it.

And Luke in the "Obi-Wan" role being the only returning character other than R2-D2 and C-3PO, right?

Who cares? He's already has billions, you think he needs 4 billion? What's he going to do with it? And let's be realistic here, do you honestly think George is taking home all 4 billion? That's what the company was acquired for, that's not what he himself is getting.

hey i know he made 4 billion man , but this was his bread and butter ... what if the value continued to increase like the Beatles music Jackson bought

Its like selling your prized possession I dont know I wouldnt sell it

BTW does this mean reissue of all Lucas film blurays so I should wait on the Star Wars box set as well as the Indy set ... n o need to get it now !

Does this mean Leah will be a new Disney Princess? I see Mickey Mouse Light Sabors in the future and Ewoks with Mickey Ears. The DEATH STAR will be the new Never Land with Captain Hook and the Lost boys. Hopefully they wont make an animated Star Wars with Broadway musical numbers. Can you just see Singing & Dancing Storm Troopers singing Broadway songs?

Somewhere in a land, far, far away....I can see Yoda doing a big ol FACE PALM right about now.

Star Wars and "Alien Threat" should never be used in the same sentance. Thats not what the Star Wars films are about. Don't go changing the genre of the films if you are going to keep them in the same universe.

Make it a spin off if you want alien threats.
