I've just spent a bit in Fopp again. I got a lot of the Shameless DVDs and some more Dogwoof DVDs. I also got a few other titles. I'm away on business at the moment so I will take some pictures tomorrow. I also found the other Fopp so I may pop in there on the way to the station. The Shameless titles will look good next to my Arrow Video collection

Speaking of FOPP : like HMV, they are currently giving a "£5 for £50 spent" voucher with what seems to be every sale (I spent once £80 and once £24 and still had one voucher in both case).

It is indeed a much finer movie that one could think, and a movie I love to watch every now and then (usually with Dazed & Confused). It's not always plain hilarious, but most of the time is, with also a quite sweet side along it.

Well, after much delay, here's what I picked up so far this week. I'm doing a separate post for each day. No wooden floors for these ones as everytime I put them on the floor, one of my cats lay on them, plus there were too many to put on the floor in the room I take the photos. The only problem with where I'm taking the pictures now, is that there is a lot of glare from the light, and I have to angle the camera in a way that the covers don't appear to be bathed with light

So here's what I got Monday 26th November:

Those are the ones I received in the post while I was away. As you may have noticed I have already taken a picture of this release. The previous one was for the steelbook, and these are of the Blu-ray and DVD. I do this for Masters Of Cinema titles, partly because I keep the steelbooks separate, and partly because I have all their releases, and so I don't like gaps in the numbers. Arrow are the other label where I buy the steelbook and regular releases

The ones below are what I picked up in Fopp in Covent Garden. The first lot are the Shameless titles I picked up for £5 each, and are my first Shameless titles:

And these are the other ones I picked up there:

There are some more titles for my Dogwoof collection, again £5 each, a couple of Axiom Films titles and Dogtooth. I was going to get the Kino as that has lossless sound and more extras, so I may get that at a later date

I had a £5 off £30 voucher from the last time I was in there a couple of weeks ago, so I had a little saving

Here's what came in the post Tuesday 27th November:

While walking from London Euston station on Monday morning to my course, I noticed a Fopp store on Gower Street. I didn't realise there was one there, or never given it much thought. On my way back Tuesday, rather than getting the tube back from Chancery Lane, I decided to walk two miles in pretty atrocious weather, carrying a heavy bag, just to pop in there, and here's what I got:

Some more Shameless titles (a couple were £6), another one for my Arrow Classics collection and yet another Dogwoof DVD. I had a voucher from the other Fopp store for £5 off £50, and so I was looking for another item to get me over £50, and so chose Don't Look Now on Blu-ray. I know it's not the greatest transfer, but there was nothing else I wanted. It was £6, but I only really paid £1 for it after the discount. The Gower Street store doesn't seem as big, and a lot of the Blu-rays were opened. The disc for Don't Look Now was behind the counter. I'm sure it was in a box loose with other discs, but the disc looks fine

And so on to Wednesday 28th November:

These are what I got from HMV Birmingham Bull Ring in the 5 for £30 deal

I really wanted Eden Lake (which I watched today, and truly the found end disturbing). I nearly picked up The Princess Bride for £6 in Fopp Covent Garden, but wasn't sure on how the transfer was, so I thought I would get it in the deal after checking the review here. All these are upgrades from the DVDS. I did want There's Something About Mary, but of the two copies, there was one with a slip, and that was damaged, so I might check for that in Bristol. Being in a rush to get back to work and struggling to find a fifth titles, I picked up Borat. I didn't want 3 for £20, as they work out more expensive each

I don't get post on a Wednesday normally, so it was just those titles above

Now for today's items that I received in the post Thursday 29th November:

Appleseed was only £3 on Amazon, and then another Dogwoof title. I really enjoy the documentaries they release, and to get them for £5 is always a bonus

There are some other titles I received this week which I haven't included. The items in question are the digibook releases of Jaws, Spartacus and Atonement, the Kino release of Abraham Lincoln and the Dogwoof documentary Four Days Inside Guantanamo. These were all received damaged, so I will take pictures of the replacements when they come

Hopefully tomorrow or Saturday the steelbooks of The Bourne Legacy and The Dark Knight Rises come, along with some more Shameless titles

Really upset with the lack of wooden flooring Matty!

But you spent a big chunk of change on your hauls, so all is forgiven.

The wooden floors should be back tomorrow. I'm going to Bristol next week so I will probably get a few items in Fopp. It would be great if they had a store in Birmingham, but then I would probably be in debt

I don't have many expenses. I live at home at still so don't have a mortgage to pay, I'm not married and don't have kids and I don't have a car. These are all expensive things which I don't have to worry about. I don't have any debts, apart from what is on my credit card, but I can afford to pay that off anytime
