Just noticed there is a 35mm print of the film for sale on eBay. If had some extra cash and time I'd love to grab this and try and scan to make a copy that would work on a polarized 3D setup. Fingers crossed someone will try and do that.

Of all the studios, I have the least faith in Paramount as their treatment and release history of catalog titles is exceptionally poor.

But it would be a day 1 purchase for me, too.

Not a big fan of the series but I would buy this it's my favourite Friday the 13th film. Also liked parts 6,7,10 and Freddy vs Jason. I also really enjoyed the remake as well.

7 is one I saw in the theaters, and I have to say -- it's like part of the story was missing, or something. I still don't really know what they were going with there (that was New Blood, wasn't it?)

Part VII was my favourite one as a kid. Loved the zombie-look on Jason especially. It's a shame it was very badly butchered by the censors.

Yes it was. I think it was heavily edited.

Friday The 13th Part 2
and Friday The 13th Part VII: The New Blood are the two most censored films in the series, the cuts really hurt the films. I've seen a bootleg of the latter that reintegrates the cut footage (in poor quality) and it's just so much better.

Friday The 13th Part III 3-D is my number one favourite 3D movie despite me only ever having seen it in anaglyph 3D, I'd pay TRIPLE the going rate to have that on 3D blu ray...

I haven't checked this tread in a while but I'm actually the winning bidder on the Friday Part 3 35mm print. I've owned a print for several years but it was missing the first reel. So I bought this print to complete my existing print. It's my favorite in the Friday the 13th franchise and I never get tired of watching it in polarized 3D in our home theatre.
I gave up a long time ago with Paramount releasing this title in "real" Blu Ray 3D.

I never saw this one in 3D but hear the 3D is great, so hopefully this happens for blu ray 3D.

Found this today:
The following 3D clip has side by side 3D if you have a 3DTV, and it looks like it reveals all of the major spoilers to the movie of Friday the 13th 3D, but show off how very strong the 3D is. Range of strong, very strong and slightly extreme 3D.
[Show spoiler]

Amazing 3D is all I can say and I'd buy this for the 3D as soon as it hits blu ray 3D.

Above is the customer service link for home entertainment direct from Paramount Studios website. For those interested in the blu ray 3D release, it would help if we contact them with a quick request to release Friday the 13th 3D on blu ray 3D as soon as possible.
You might want to mention that the 3D Film Archive - http://www.3dfilmarchive.com/. can do the 3D for about $10,000. They have done excellent work on the Blu-ray's The Mask, Gog, 3-D Rarities, The Bubble and Dragonfly Squadron.

Default Friday the 13th part 3

I purchased the blu-ray before I realized it was anaglyph. Who does blu-ray anaglyph?! At any rate, I had fun watching it. Just for the heck of it, I turned on the 3d for my tv and wore both sets of glasses. If you're wondering, it doesn't help.

I know this is an old topic but it being Friday the 13th, I was wondering if anyone had ever been able to get a real 3D version of this working?

Wondering the same, I have downloaded some "SBS" Versions from certain sites and they are unwatchable. I am thinking about taking the time to do my own correctly.

With TV manufacturer's dropping 3d it looks like this movie may not get a good 3d release. Sad because this is one movie I really wanted to see get done.

I copied the blu and deluxe dvd onto my pc. I'll have to get the old DVD boxset still, and need to mess with the video editing programs since it's been a few years since I've done any work with those, but I figure now is as good a time as any to start seeing if I can get this to work.

So, does anyone know which camera the bluray release is? I pulled my copy from the boxset, but I assume its the same version as the original bluray release.
