It looks like a really fun movie. Besson hasn't really let me down yet so I'm looking forward to seeing this.

Well, she takes a bath, which is a bit of a running gag in the (french) comic. So it is true to the source and makes sense in context to the material.

I don't like many Besson films, but I like this one, Big Blue, and Leon a fair bit.

French aren't as uptight as us Americans. Well, at least we weren't uptight until the late 80's. Even Clash Of The Titans (1981) had a couple of boob shots for a PG rated family film.

The french trailer contains the bath/boobs scene. (around the 2 min. mark)

Also the french trailer is better than the Shoutfactory trailer because in it you can hear the actors speak. The Shoutfactory trailer could fool fans to think the movie is in english.

It wouldn't have been PG, if PG13 was around in 1981. In fact, outcry from that film probably had as much to do with PG13 being implemented in 84, as Gremlins and Temple of Doom. On the whole, American Society is nowhere near as "uptight," as you put it, about violence, nudity, and language today as they were even in the 80's or even in the 90's.


Surprised Shout Factory is even releasing separate releases for this film, so close together: I suspect most who know about the impending DC will wait, and those who don't will be rather pissed. Glad it's coming, but they should combine both in the same release, if both are actually unique enough to be warranted.

Can anyone tell me what the difference is between the regular version being released and the Director's Cut? Is it just the brief nudity scene? I already have the Canadian blu-ray. Thanks!
