Yeah I'm at 24hz there is no setting for 24fps on my Lgbd650. Everything else plays fine but this Robocop one has glitches. I thought it was my cable at first so I got a newer one as the other one is god knows how many years old but the problem persists. My sister's blu ray player there wasn't a problem and that's like a really recent Toshiba. Then again hers has a setting for 24p output and mine doesn't. Mine just has 50hz or 24Hz. Its really annoying as the film I enjoyed but it really detracts if the picture stutters in a lot of scenes. Its not firmware either as my Lg is up to date according to system information and Lg's website. Myabe I could try taking it back to HMV and explaining it has this issue. All I want is a replacement without this issue. Apart from this issue picture is sharp and amazing in every way.

Edit: in fact now its doing it on hers too!

Now I'm even more confused! It was having the issues whilst I was using my old HDMI to start with but I reset the player to factory settings resolution to auto yadda yadda and the issues I was having with the old cable I couldn't find yet on the new cable I could. No idea why that is! Maybe its the resolution being set to auto on the old cable that does it. If this has been fixed by a simple reset then that's a bit of a waste of money on the new cable. Hmm have to run some more tests in the morning. Peculiar.

Started doing the same thing again this morning even on my sister's player on a lot of scenes. Judging by clips of scenes this happens in on YouTube this shouldn't be happening. Gonna return it to HMV and ask for another (hopefully without the fault) I reckon this was just a one off.

Got a new one today after taking the one I bought back. Same issue throughout every scene in the film. I think my player is going. Either that or for some reason it has trouble playing this film without glitching. Oddly enough nina's 24p output one plays it smoothly with no problems. I think maybe I need a new player as I had one instance with a doctor who blu ray this week where this happened but only once.

Well its definitely not my player as everything else runs perfectly on it. What should I do? I have a Robocop (2014) blu ray that stutters and freezes throughout the movie. This is the replacement HMV gave me when I brought another in with the same problem. Should I take this one back? Do they do refunds or vouchers or something? Any advice would be appreciated.

I stuck this in again at the weekend and my player was seriously struggling with it. I'm certain my player is on the way out as i had a nightmare getting it to read True Detective. So yeah, it might be that your player is on the way out.

It's possible that your player's laser is on the way out but you might need to wait for the next firmware update from your player's manufacturer. It might be worth emailing them and listing the affected discs. Or try a lens cleaner and see if that helps.

When you say lens cleaner Chip, do you mean for glasses? Wipe the disc with them?

A laser-lens-cleaner. They're not cheap (or that expensive!) but they may be worth a shot.

You could give the disc a clean too, it may not have fingerprints on it but it might have some residue left over from the factory.

Many thanks for the heads up on this Chip, I'm going to get one. I have two other blu ray players that stopped reading discs sat around to try it on too!

You would be better of picking it up at your local supermarket , I find getting a slip with online orders a bit of a lottery.

Coulson, I had rented the german Blu-ray and I also noticed a very slight stuttering during pans. I have a Sony player set to 24p and a Samsung plasma.
I guess there IS an issue with the european disks. Maybe only certain players are affected.

There is none. A search turned up this thread in this section. I didn't even realize it was a UK thread. Anyway, I was just wondering if there was something wrong with my eyes or if there was a specific reason why this is $40. I had to make sure it wasn't the old TV series

Its really weird cause if I rewind the film its fine for a few scenes then now and again the problem returns. I haven't had this issue with any other of my blu rays. I watch my films at 24hz because on my player 50hz looks really terrible like slow motion. I just wondered if this is an issue with this film others are getting? or whether HMV sold me a bad disc. The disc itself has not a scratch, scuff or smear to speak of. Its annoying as on anything else the player plays it nice and smoothly on every scene.
I noticed this on the copy I rented. This is the reason I came onto this thread. To find if anyone else had this issue. I noticed that when I rewound (to show my girlfriend as she couldn't tell :P) it didn't do it. I noticed it maybe 6 or 7 times. Was really bugging me. Wonder if it is a bad batch or something....
