I would love to see this film if they can keep Affleck far away from it. Still, Fincher has not made a bad film that I ever saw.

There is a rumor that Fincher has scratched off the Strangers on a Train remake and is now planning to remake Hitchcock's Rope.

With that said, I’ve been told that David Fincher has scratched off his remake of “Strangers on a Train,” which was once supposed to star Brad Pitt and Ben Affleck, for another Hitchcock remake.

I love 1948’s “Rope,” which is top 10 Hitchcock in my books, and Fincher seems as enamoured by it since he’s apparently going to be remaking it with Charlize Theron in one of the lead roles. Steven Knight (“Peaky Blinders”) is said to have written a draft of the script.
