At least in conferences, if the teams in your division are weak, you can't be blamed for scheduling them. Very sick of the golden domers this pre-season.
You are right about their schedule, outside of USC they don't have a hard game. What will likely happen is they'll go 10-2, getting blown out by USC and losing a game to either Michigan State or Pitt, and they'll go to a BCS bowl despite not having a win over a top 25 team. Then Weis will probably get another huge contract extension. Any time Notre Dame is eligible for a BCS bowl they'll get picked because for whatever reason Notre Dame has a huge fan base that travels well.

That's impressive! I would love to see the pic after they beat UF last year. I was at that game. What a ride that was! It was funny watching this one drunk Ole Miss fan walking around after the game waving one of those tiny team flags! Not one UF fan could say a word!

I see Michigan is going to use 3 quarterbacks in it's season opener. Most teams want to have a quarterback decided by the opener or at least narrow it down to 2 but not Rich Rod. I think Michigan will go 6-6 this year, as I can't see them beating Notre Dame, Michigan State, Iowa (homecoming night game for Iowa), Penn State, and Ohio State, and I think they'll lose to Illinois or Wisconsin, and possibly both.

Yeah he still needs a QB to run his offense he'd have been a sub 500 coach without slaton and White.

Did you see what Lou Holtz said "ND going to the NC"

Sadly with their schedule it isn't out of the question. It's possible they could lose to USC and still make the title game since the voters love them. Funny thing is if Notre Dame fails this year and Weis gets fired Lou's son Skip is probably the front runner for the job (assuming Urban Meyer isn't interested).

They'll flop it. Especially if USC loses prior to playing them, they will be ready to go, but if USC goes into that game undefeated I could see them getting upset.

I am not happy about this at all. I thought they would run with their new freshman Tate Forcier. He is supposedly built for the spread offense.

Denard Robinson is incredibly fast and could be good as well. I'm surprised Nick Sheridan didn't transfer because he clearly isn't a good fit in Rich Rod's offense. Either way Michigan will likely be a bit down still this year but should get better next year once they have the players for their offense, especially if Robinson or Tate play well.

Yeah, I think he needs at least 3 years before he could turn it around. That type of offense isn't a plug guys in and it goes.

Both of Miami's top backup quarterbacks have decided to transfer so the backup now is true freshman A.J. Highsmith (the link has his name as A.J. Hightower but that is incorrect). Highsmith was the 47th ranked quarterback by Scout.com.

They are transferring because they were beat out by this true freshman for the backup role to Harris. Word around the campfire is that Highsmith might be something special, I sure hope so. We need an elite QB desperately.

Fascinating fact I read today that I didn't know; since the inception of the Super Bowl Oklahoma has never had a quarterback start an NFL game. That should change once Bradford is in the pros, but you would think that at some point they would have had a quarterback worthy of at least one start. Texas has only had 2 quarterbacks start (Vince Young, Chris Simms), and Oklahoma State has only had 1 quarterback start (Rusty Hilger).
The Big 12 in general hasn't had many starters. Colorado has only had 2 starters, Texas A&M has had 3, Texas Tech has had 1, Missouri has had 3 (although they count Brad Smith, who I don't think ever started at quarterback), Kansas has had 3, Kansas State has had 4, Iowa State has had 4, Baylor has had 5, and Nebraska has had 6.
