Sure, if you have a barely HD low-bitrate transfer with lossy low-fi stereo audio. Hopefully that will not be the case here

No your not the only one. White line fever is a great movie! For me easily the best movie in the bunch.

I don't really understand their reasoning for this. Well, I do, it's probably cheaper to manufacture even lower quality discs, but they used MPEG-4 forever. Just stick with that!

Mill Creek confirmed Region A and Subtitles when replying to its Facebook post about this set but ignored the question asking if it was going to be a BD-50 disc.

I'm probably alone with this...

Blind Fury > White Line Fever > Silent Rage

Nope. Blind Fury is the main reason i'll be getting this. I've never seen White Line Fever and i'll probably be crucified for this, but I was never a huge Chuck fan, so I don't really care about Silent Rage.

Thumbs up

I enjoy both BF and SR. I've never seen WLF, so its inclusion here will rectify that.

As long as this is a BD-50, I'm glad it's a triple feature. Easy on both the wallet and the shelf. Hell, I might buy an extra copy for my old man!

Same here. BF is of course classic and I quite liked Silent Rage, it's like Terminator meets Chuck Norris, and the last shot had me spooked when I saw it as a kid.

Didn't some of the characters in Tarantino's Death Proof mention White Line Fever along with Dirty Mary, Crazy Larry, Gone in 60 Seconds and Vanishing Point? If so, that's reason enough for me to buy it.

Too bad it's not a single disc. I really wanted Silent Rage, not sure about the others. All we need now is Forced Vengeance. I'll have to revisit my Australian and UK imports of Good Guys Wear Black and A Force Of One before I watch this. I've become obsessed with Chuck the last few years. I may even do a chronological marathon! Yup! I just convinced myself.

Can't wait for this release. Even if they're all crammed onto a BD-25, you can bet they'll look better than their DVD counterparts. I've always hated the fact that the SILENT RAGE DVD was 1.33:1 (full frame), and what's worse is that if you crop it to 16:9, it's clear that the entire image was over-scanned by the studio, so everyone's head is cut off at the eyebrow! That DVD sucks, pure and simple.

Let's say the worst is true and Mill Creek crams all three features onto a BD-25. It's still worth the (cheap) purchase, if only to finally get SILENT RAGE in true 16:9, not to mention WHITE LINE FEVER will still look better than its recent (and long-awaited) DVD release. I like BLIND FURY as well, but since I wasn't planning on ever buying that Australia import, it's like a bonus feature here, and a welcome one at that.

For me, the bottom line is this: SILENT RAGE finally in widescreen, WHITE LINE FEVER looking better than the fairly new DVD, BLIND FURY finally making it onto my shelf. Sorry, guys, but even the worst case scenario isn't worth complaining about. Besides, it's not like SILENT FURY was going to hit Blu by itself anyway.

FYI (not that it matters much anymore), but the original DVD of "SILENT RAGE" from Sony was a flipper-disc with both the widescreen version of the film and the full-frame version on the other side. It was one of many Sony discs (including SHEENA, SCREAMERS, HARD TIMES, etc.) where they later re-pressed them and dropped one side of the disc, sometimes losing the widescreen version as in those examples, and sometimes losing the full-frame side on other titles. The worst part was that they kept the same UPC # on all of them so unless you bought the DVD's early on, chances of finding those early double-sided pressings became difficult.

MPEG-2 can't cleanly handle nearly five hours of HD video on a single BD-50. It's not possible.

I'm guessing Mill Creek changed their Blu-ray authoring firm if they are using MPEG-2 again.

The Psycho Circus Triple Feature Blu-ray they just released last week had MPEG-2 encodes, and those were all Sony licensed films also.
