Hmmm what? LOL.

What does that indicate? We are all not experts sir!

I'll take a shot at it. I'm certainly no expert, but here goes.

Rec 2020 HDR10 = The standard for most 4K TV's to read HDR content.

BD 100 = 100 GB disc used for all the information on the disc.

If I'm wrong with my explanation, I'm sure Geoff, and or others will chime in to correct me.

Wide colour gamut. UHD uses a much wider gamut than conventional SDR video known as BT.2020 but it's not completely 'filled up', using the smaller DCI-P3 gamut that's extremely common to studio mastering today. What I'm wondering is the significance of Universal actually putting "Rec.2020" on the packaging, they've never done this before so does it possibly indicate the first UHD release to actually use more of the wider 2020 gamut?

And the BD100 is significant because it indicates Universal's first triple layer 100GB disc, not surprising given the length of the film at over three hours. Their discs thus far have been 66GB dual layers, leading to certain compromises like lossy audio on certain discs like Furious 6 & 7.

Thanks! I was wondering if the BD100 triple layer was a first from Universal.
And as you said, interesting they mention the Rec 2020 on the package -- which means nothing to a lot of folks, but I'm glad some people get all this stuff.

Good question. Better not be digital only like The Fate of the Furious.

Me three. You'll get both cuts on the BD (unlike F8, which has the extended on digital ONLY so it's nothing to do with 4K's limitations per se) so that may be what it's referring to, but both cuts on the UHD would be a nice touch.

Will be a shame if it's not on there. Bit naughty too as it says extended on front & back covers.

Oh no, I have no interest in this if the UHD does not have the extended cut!!

It's why I didn't buy the Watchmen -- it didn't have the Director's Cut only the extra long extended version.

I'm sure somebody will find out by this weekend. Right?

The $27.99 price tag is very unappealing though. Specially for a catalog title.

I'm quite certain the extended cut is on the UHD. I thought it said so in the press release?
