The first three will be new scans as they were finished on film. Jurassic World is a very new DI and I believe 2.4K so a little better than your average 2K upscale.

Unless Universal completely botches the 4K scans (which Jurassic Park has already had for the 3D remaster) and/or HDR passes, they'll definitely be worth it.

I was thinking the same and if I recall they did this a couple years ago when they did steelbooks for these movies. Just doesn't make any sense.

Personally I really like these so am definitely going to keep an eye on them. Well the first one anyway. Don’t really like the other films.

Only question I have is will the standard blu-rays be based upon the new scans or the same old scan again?
