And I watched the entire 2 hour behind the scenes. I know he’s never done commentaries but Spielberg always seems so enthusiastic about his films. I can imagine what a commentary might be like. Who am I to argue with one of the best directors of this generation.

Yeah,Spielberg doesn't do commentaries for his films.George Lucas said once that's why there are no commentaries on the Indiana Jones disk releases.

I can understand him not wanting to do audio commentaries, but why forbid anyone else for doing them on the films he directed.

It would have been good to hear the actors talking about doing the Indiana Jones films. Perhaps during the truck sequence in Raiders have the stunt man talk about his scene in that. Or have the ILM crew talk about doing the effects in specific scenes in the trilogy.

Sure featurettes are good and all, but watching a film while the cast or crew talk about specific scenes is even better imo.

Finally watched this yesterday and it’s an awesome movie! Even better than I expected. And it was cool seeing all the nostalgic characters. The Atmos track was top notch as well.

Default Art3mis and the Cataclyst question

I was wondering if anybody else is asking this same question:

[Show spoiler]How did Samantha (Art3mis) know that Sorrento had used the cataclyst? She was not in the game at the time he did this and there was no place that I saw that she spoke to anybody before the others picked her up.

I've already reviewed the movie content earlier in this thread, so there's no need to go back through that again. I enjoyed Ready Player One just as much on Blu-ray, and I'm having a lot of fun with the extras now.

I feel as though I should watch this movie in slow motion just to catch each and every reference.

So, will the estate of Miguel Ferrer get a cheque for Mendelsohn's imitation of his voice/cadence?

Otherwise, decent flick.

I like how
[Show spoiler]the birthmark shows up on Art3mis's face in the final battle, after Samantha has met Wade in person, and after she killed Mechagodzilla.

I didn't catch that during my first viewing, but I noticed it the other night.

Finally watched this. As a fan of the book, I got distracted halfway through the movie, because they'd obviously created a new second half, plus they didn't get to delve into the backstories of the rest of the gang. I'm afraid I didn't enjoy this as much as others did, but not so much because of the story change. I got a little frustrated with Wade not being smart, starting with admitting his name at the dance. But I get that he's "just a kid". I loved Mark Rylance's take on Halliday tho', and seeing Simon Pegg in the movie - with an American accent - was a complete and satisfying surprise to me! I need to see this again in a month or two, get away from my baggage expecting it to be more like the book. I might enjoy it a little more the second time through.

Are the discs in this set all equal in quality to their American counterparts?

No reduced quality audio or picture to fit French audio?

All the same bonus features?

All text/titles in the film still in English?

The French UHD has English and French Dolby Atmos with a Dolby TrueHD core, the 2D Blu-ray has French Dolby Atmos with a Dolby TrueHD core, English Dolby Atmos with a Dolby Digital Plus core and English and French DTS-HD MA, the 3D Blu-ray only has English and French DTS-HD MA.

Does the bold mean that is different from the specs on the US disc?

This was just a "Hackers" reboot. Move along! Nothing to see here!

I found this cover art on a website called Raru. I don't know if it's legitimate since I've never heard of the website before. It looks legit though.
