To be fair, they, along with the vast majority of the country were victims of a bunch of corrupt Wall Street types. They screwed us, and they knew exactly what they were doing. Ask someone whose 401k was devastated, for instance. They ripped us off, and what's good for the goose is good for the gander, frankly.

A LOT of people were furious and felt like they would if they came home and found their TV and computer and jewelry suddenly missing.

And to just stop it before it happens, I'm not some anti-stock market type. I obviously won't get into specifics, but trust me: I make a lot of money on the market. More money than I know what to do with, to be honest. But it's not people like me who got torn up in 2008.

Having read the origin article, those strippers got just as greedy and just as low down as the corrupt Wall Street types they were robbing and it's that aspect that I doubt will be covered or even mentioned in the film based on I've seen in the trailer. I'm sure an American Greed episode will cover this.

She HAD to be somewhat aware of the irony when she joined the film.

I don't disagree with any of that. I think you're probably right that the greed on the part of the strippers won't be covered. It could be, I suppose. But I doubt it.

OTOH, there's a huge difference between a stripper hustling someone out of cash, due to greed, and Goldman Sachs and Bear Stearns and the ridiculous subprime mortgaging costing the economy HUNDREDS OF BILLIONS of dollars, and thrusting the US economy into a massive recession that many across this country still are struggling to recover from.

I mean, greed on its own is never good and costs all sorts of problems for those involved. But there's difference in scale, and those guys who screwed the world economy knew better. They knew exactly what they were doing. They simply didn't give a damn. So, I have pretty much no empathy for them.

To be fair, it's not for the reason you think. I'm believe it's more of a hypocrisy thing than anything else.

Early screenings have begun and the word is STX FINALLY has something. Now to see how reviewers react. Embargo will lift next week from what I’m hearing.

That makes is sound like STX had nothing at all. They did have a few solid hits.

Well yeah but after 3 back to back bombs and word that even The Upside didn’t even profit for them despite grossing 122M WW, plus the constant stories that they’re one film away from Annapurna status, this has to be a big hit for them.

I see. This is the first hearing that Upside wasn't as big of a turnaround for them.
It's clear that STX is going to mortgage the house on this one movie.

What ever happened to their plan to turn Bad Moms into their brand?

They announced that Bad Grandmas spin-off last year but nothing has come to fruition. I imagine all their projects in production are now on hold as they only had enough money to market one film left and this was it.

I’m wondering what’s going on really with them because they claimed they raised 700M in new financing back in March but by July they were already at doom and gloom status and trying to secure money from Saudis.

If there's plenty of booty shots with the main cast then I may see it.

The trailer to this looks potentially great. I agree that I hope there is a nice share of nudity. The cast is gorgeous.

A quote from Cosmopolitan on one of the ads says "Waiting for Hustlers, is like waiting for The Avengers."
