Not sure if people were aware of this. ↑

It makes me wonder, if Disney gave the green-light for WALL-E to become a part of the Criterion Collection with a brand-new Native 4K Dolby Vision transfer approved by Andrew Stanton (The Director) himself, I wonder if the same could be done for Zootopia?

It could be done to Zootopia just like it could be done to other Disney or Pixar animated films. Only time will tell what this WALL-E release means.

I highly doubt it's anything but the same base 2k upscaled master as used on the previous 4k disc, only this time run through Dolby Vision grading software.

Criterion will say "new" as a marketing hook even if Stanton only supervised the older transfer.

That fact I do take into account. That's why I'm kind of on the fence about what's to come of this release.

Jesus, the Disney obsession is ridiculous. Are people going to post in every single Disney movie thread about the WALL-E Criterion?

"Could this Disney movie be the next Criterion title?"

The moose is handsome so it's not a big deal to me personally, but I get it.
