HBO Max's "Tokyo Vice" (by Michael Mann) - Page 6 - Blu-ray Forum

I am visiting Tokyo this December, and I am sure I can easily grab a Japanese copy there. The problem with that is, that there is no subtitle; especially the Japanese spoken portion of the show. Unless I come across a really cheap used copy at Bookoff or something, sadly I doubt I will pick one up.

I hope Mann returns to direct at least another episode. Specially if there's any continuation to that flashforward (which he shot).

Same here as I think the series is heavily underappreciated, but given Warner's recent track record, I wouldn't be surprised if they pulled the plug as they've been doing on other programming such as "Warrior".

I have been watching S2 on the BBC app.

Does anyone notice it? Or is it on the BBC version only? I noticed slight but obvious focal length distortion on many shots.

Not anymore. I don't recall such a vast drop in quality between seasons in a long time. I mean, it was already noticeable within season 1, but that second season was crap.

Wow - just the opposite for me - I really enjoyed S02 (it redeemed the cliffhanging first season) and from the looks of the ending doesn't look to be a Season Three (most everything wrapped up). What a great series! 4/5 stars.

I finished watching S2 on BBC, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I also think 2 seasons is the perfect length for this show. Just watch S2 somehow. There is no open-ended storyline.
