If you didn’t get what you want with previously updated Star Wars releases, Disney releasing a 4K set will not likely include the original cuts. It’s just way this will likely pan out, no matter how much the original version appeals to you. Of course anything is possible if this set celebrates the entire saga.

Yup. I'm all in. Gorgeous looking set; I'll just take out the UHD discs and put them in my current STAR WARS "standard" cases for non-scratch accessibility... then display the beautiful box somewhere in my home theater. Sweeeeeet.

Discs pull out of the top? Hope it’s a sleeve tray and not just something like the MCU set. If it is then don’t hold it upside down.

I do wonder what the other 9 discs on the set will be for. I highly doubt they will all be DVDs but if they are I won't be very happy.

It’s out there to download for free.

You're kidding me, right? I get the whole "Collector's Special Packaging" Spiel, just give me the Entire Saga in Disc-scratching-free casing, Individually is preferable, but just god damn it.

Maybe at least give an option of like how Mission Impossible and Harry Potter did their UHD Sets.

Don’t worry. There are going to be tons of variations in how the films are released in the years to come. You’ll get your chance to buy the films in a more standard package.

I plan to display this beautiful set in my home theater right next to the giant 1993 "black box" of THX-mastered LaserDiscs.... which I still own.

For the love of all that is holy. Please don't say the discs are going to be in that book, or stacked disc trays.

EDIT: Oh they are and, even worse, on the edge of the pages.

Waiting until a PRACTICAL boxset is released over this novelty gimmicky crap. Oh they have hardcoat on the discs, great! We can shove them in books. Derp derp derpa do!

Individual releases please. Got no room for this ridiculously oversized packaging.

I'd love to meet whoever came up with this book packaging nonsense.

If it’s like the Harry Potter Ultimate Hogwarts Collection then it’s actually not that large.

I don't care about Harry Potter. But that is just awful to look at seeing discs packaged that way.
