This movie and Lionsgate have a long history of bad home video releases.

Let's hope we don't have to play the world's smallest violin just for the UHD.

P.S. In regards to the Tarantino-approved question, it looks like Tarantino had nothing at all to do with the Inglourious Basterds (2009) UHD.

I'll take anything Tarantino, even Deathproof, but Kill Bill 4K (and especially TWBA) will remain the holy grail of his filmography for me.

I understand that. I can just say that for me the characters from the first two movies are good because of the QT's dialogue for the most part. As good as those movies are, I see actors saying QT dialogue. When it comes to Jackie Brown, I see the characters first. There is investment in what they do and what happens to them.

That's just me I guess.

Will they or can they erase the Weinstein credit?

I remember getting the laserdisc here in the UK.I was ushered into a backroom in a home cinema shop and shown the delights of the the import laserdisc crates!I was always annoyed at side one ending halfway through a sentence!

It would be nice if this release included all the bonus features that the Artisan DVD came with. That's the only reason I still kept that DVD. Not only was the blu-ray an ancient, crappy transfer, but it was nearly bare bones when it came to features. Mainly just the deleted scenes.

Probably not, for contract/legal reasons most likely.

I don't think he was involved in Reservoir Dogs, but probably not for the other films.

I usually have a 'wait for the reviews' attitude to buying anything on UHD.

But I feel the same about this as I do The Usual Suspects - the Blu-ray Disc is so flawed, even a cocked-up UHD will be an improvement.

Gonna wait on the reviews, I think. I'm gonna want to know if the 4K remaster is any good and if the regular BD bundled with this release uses it before I shell out for it, as I still haven't upgraded my setup.

I think this one has decent odds, though, as it wouldn't have been finished on a 2K DI like Basterds. There is definitely a conformed negative to work from, which there might not be for anything from Kill Bill on.

I don’t own this one at all yet so it’ll be an easy pickup. Hope we get Pulp Fiction in the future

Paramount’s recent reissue of Miramax properties still had the Weinstein credits. I imagine Lionsgate’s will be the same.

Miramax had theatrical distribution to Reservoir Dogs but that's it, otherwise it was independently produced without the Weinstein's involvement

I'm not going to shed a tear if they did, but they likely won't and can't and I disagree on principle with doing so. Like what're we gonna do about heinous individuals being credited in other movies, and actually have bigger roles in them? It's too much to care about. lol

I wish Arrow could do Limited Edition releases of his early work (Reservoir Dogs, Pulp Fiction, Jackie Brown and Kill Bill) stacked with extras. Or even better, a box set.

Contractually, above-the-line credits cannot be removed or altered without the approval of the person involved, and sometimes also of the guild that represents them.
