Considering we've been waiting years for Night of the Creeps to hit DVD I'm hoping that the transfer to blu-ray is excellent when it comes to picture quality and sound.

Speaking of Galaxy of Terror I have the UK and Italian import DVDs, and it's a good film if you like sci-fi mixed with horror and gore. Unfortunately they haven't released an American (region 1) DVD yet. But I waited this long for Night of the Creeps I can wait longer for Galaxy of Terror.

does anyone know if its region free?.a few sellers on ebay are saying it is but id rather be sure before buying it.

Yes, it's region free. Almost everything from Sony is.

Me too. Fright Night 2 wasn't even released on DVD in widescreen. I think Lionsgate has the rights, so hopefully we'll get a proper release on Blu.

The back cover link shows that its region free !!!

So someone needs to change that in the review.

Yeah, that is a bit rude when they do that, especially considering the number of native Spanish speakers in the country of release.

HAHA! What a great movie! Been so long since I last saw it I had forgotten how cool and funny it really is. This is a true 80's low budget classic for sure!

The Blu-ray looks great as well. Tons of cool extras and a great upgrade from... well, the laserdic!

A must have!

Did anyone else pick this up today? My walmart only carried the SD version so I had to go to Best Buy to buy it. I got them to price match the walmart.com price so it only cost me $17.62!

Cant wait to watch it. Now if Monster Squad would come out.

Hell yeah, I did! Straight from Amazon right to my doorstep today for $16.62. My gf and I watched it tonight, and it was such a revelation from my old VHS recording off of HBO many, many years ago.
