I don't see Nolan doing deleted scenes for the trilogy. I don't see extended cuts for each film. Maybe more special features. 100% sure there's going to be a whole lot of swag. I don't see new transfers for Begins and Knight. I think those will happen on some type of anniversary for Begins in the future.

Best Buy is getting the exclusive documentary about the trilogy.

If I wait for the Ultimate Collector's Edition, it better be the best trilogy set of all time...
I bet that most likely it will include all new remastered audio and video for both BB and TDK. That right there is enough for me to pick up the Ultimate Collector's Edition. Other than that, I wouldn't expect too much more than what we are getting in a couple of months. I'm probably wrong about the latter, but who knows.

No I haven't seen it, but come on, they always release Steelbooks for huge blockbusters. Plus you just provided a link that says "DARK KNIGHT RISES STEELBOOK".

I just think it's too early for remastered audio and video for Begins and Knight. Like clockwork, WB loves to do remastering of audio and video on anniversaries.

Begins and Knight don't have an anniversary coming anytime soon except for Begins' 10 year anniversary in three years.

I see remastering of the audio and video happening on the 20th Anniversary of Begins. But not next year....

...I could be completely wrong but it seems early for WB.

Yeah I see. If it's a $5 pre-order deal, I can get the steelbook for
$5 and the Bane digibook from Target and have both

I was thinking the same thing earlier today...but now that all these great exclusives are being announced, no chance I'm going to wait!
I'll revisit that set, when it's announced next year! It does sounds interesting though!

Wow nice, can't wait to see what the steelbook looks like. I think I might get the cowl. Though the digibooks are pretty sweet.

Well, with all the info on the exclusives out, I've made the decision.

Since I have the other two films as iTunes digital copies and WB stopped doing iTunes digital copies, I'm just going to buy Rises on iTunes and wait (very patiently) for the Ultimate Collector's Edition next year.

For me, that's the crown jewel for this epic trilogy. I already know that I'm going to want that. There's no need to waste money on the BD now and then rebuy it next year in that trilogy set.

So, I will wait it out with a digital copy....

Normally, I'd be all over the digibook, but since 1) I'm buying the box set and 2) I don't have digibooks for the first two, I'll have to pass.

Too risky man. What if there will be no Cowl in the Ultimate Ed?

It's a risk I'm going to take. I'm praying for something epic from WB with the Ultimate Collector's Edition of the Trilogy.

It'll be at least 9 disc set since WB will probably provide DVDs for each film as well. Praying for at least a 12 disc set.

You guys might want to check on me every now and again over the course of next year until they announce the specs of the Ultimate to see if I've cracked because it's going to be a hell of a wait for that thing next year.

Yeah, it will be entertaining to see, esp. on first week of Dec when most have their copies. A test of your will power! lol
