Can't beat that price, but VEGA supplements are amazing as well, and plant based.

The sports line of supplements are awesome.

Started the year off somewhere around 280-290 pounds. The heaviest I've ever been. Did not really exercise and pretty much ate anything and everything I wanted. I've always been a big stocky guy (not so much fat) that held my weight well - did not look as heavy as I actually was until early this year. Well I finally had enough, felt crappy all the time and knew inside I needed to change. As of today I am down to 215 pounds and figure I've lost between 65 to 75 pounds. Everytime I pick up my seven year old who weighs in at 63 pounds I can't believe I was carrying that weight around. I want to lose another 20 pounds to get me down into the 190's which I figure by the end of September beginning of October I should be at.

As far as how I have done it - simply watching my calories and walking / light weight training. MyfitnessPal app has made it pretty easy. Keep track of what I eat and walk to give me extra calories for the day (beyond the health benefits of physical activity). I eat just about anything I want (ice cream, pizza, hamburger, etc - as well as all the "healthy" things) I just make sure I stay on tract throughout the day. Usually I'm leaving calories on the table even while I've got the app set on losing two pounds a week. Give it a try - I highly recommend it. The weight will come off and you will not be limiting yourself to what you can eat - just maybe not the volume you are used to. After a week or two the volume part of the equation will take care of itself.

I started on a diet on February 20, 2014. I started at the gym on March 1, 2014.

I started on 118 kg and promised myself to reach 90 kg by year's end. I reached my goal during Summer. I set a new goal; 80 kg by year's end. Yesterday I reached 78 kg

Try to walk for an hour every other day. Those 400 calories you burn up add up quick!

Also, eat fruit, salad, and drink sparkling water to help lose those unwanted pounds!

Just thought I'd post in here because if anyone has any doubts about how much weight they can lose and if they can actually do it, then I'm here to say you CAN! About 5 years ago now I was about 16 and a half stone and I'd been that way for about 10 years. I wasn't a chubby kid, I was quit skinny but I gained weight rapidly and people around me assumed it was probably just because my Dad's family were big. (Stupid I know!!) Anyway, I decided to lose weight and after 6 months of extreme dieting (hardly any exercising, mind) I went from 16 and a half stone, to 10 stone exactly and I'm sitting on that weight right now . I haven't gained anything. Got some pics to show:

Before:

After:

Don't do full length pics so I can't really show how much I've lost, but you can see the difference from before and after haha So yeah, just wanted to share the pics of my weight loss and if it gives anyone inspiration to do though themselves then I'll be happy haha

I don't know my exact weight, but I'm guessing its probably around 270 pounds right now. I lost about 40 pounds living in Georgia in 2005, but gained a lot of it back when I returned to Texas.

I wanted to bump this back up. Since the beginning of this year I have gone from 267 down to 244. I feel excellent and hope to at least hit 220 with my ultimate goal being 200.

I was up to about 290 at my heaviest point a couple of years ago. I finally gave in and had full bloodwork done and the results...were not good. That finally woke me up.

The main thing i did was cut WAY down on simple carbs and eliminated sugar (although i never ate much, was mainly carbs). I also watched the intake of bad fats. Didn't concern myself with calories.

I combined that with walking in two separate 30 min sessions a day on the treadmill. Started @ 4 mph @ 3% grade, now i do 5 mph @ 13% and also run sometimes. I got down to about 153 at one point (took a year or so). Now I've balanced out around 164, although that'll probably go down in the summer when i start sweating a lot more.

For me, the biggest key was eliminating the bad carbs and just staying the course. Not giving in late at night, not giving in when my stomach was rumbling, not skipping workouts because i was tired or didn't feel like it , etc.

Commitment has to be greater than feeling.

The most startling thing to me was the difference in my blood results. I had follow up work done 60 days after my initial bloodwork (Dr. wanted to give me all sorts of junk (pills) and i refused, so she gave me 60 days for improvement). For example, my Triglycerides dropped from a whopping 755 down to like 145 in that 60 day period.

The worst thing; I've had to buy whole new wardrobes.....Twice.

I'm getting going on my second month of p90x, so far I've done good, I do the workouts everyday no matter what. I'm not doing the p90x diet though, I've just quit eating junk and drinking pop and sugary stuff and also eating proper portions. I think I've lost a little weight but I don't have a scale so hard to know for sure, hopefully if I keep it up by the end of the 3 months I'll at least lose my belly and love handles, I'm not looking to be buff but I want to be able to walk around with a shirt off and not feel like everyone's staring at the fat guy.

Well done, it amazes me how many people continue to underestimate the impact food has on your overall health.

Bumping this thread because I think it's important for movie-lovers to stay in shape considering it's so easy to fall into the habit of sitting around eating junk.

I sat around and ate junk most of October, but I've joined a gym and have started eating healthier.

I've always exercised at home before so this whole gym thing is new to me, but I'm keen to give it a go. Plus I have a personal trainer booked so he can teach me how to make the most out of my visits instead of just wandering aimlessly from one piece of equipment to the next.

Nice! My problem too is that I have a real sweet tooth. I hate drinking just plain water, so I use diluted juice in it and just dilute it more and more each time to sort of wean myself off it.

Also had a really nice stir fry last night (made with hardly any oil): chicken breast, mango, chilli, bell pepper, carrot, garlic, ginger, honey, sherry and a drop of soy. Very nice, very healthy!

Costco has had this brand the other member posted for cheaper regular price due to like a lb more of powder for around that price, I believe a few months ago it was on sale on the flyer as well for even cheaper.

I stopped using protein powders years ago since my diet provides more than enough + bars. I do use pre-workouts and sometimes BCAAs

290. I just weighed myself. 245.

It's amazing what a gym and vodka does to you.

Actually gutted I can't do the walks at the moment, don't take time off work as I can work around me needing to be on my feet
no offense, but I run around 35 miles per week and have gotten blisters from running to the point of them bleeding and I don't let any of that stop me. Very little will, even when I rolled my ankle badly, I was able to run on it as I recovered after a day of rest.

You find some special blister bandages and get back out there, you are only walking so thats going to be easier on them than running
