LMAO. Dude it was horrible. Whenever i watch i 3-D movie i get a mad headache. Kevin Costner is really bad John Candy was bad too. Or how about Joe Pesci's eyebrows? This was a weird movie when you look at those little things. Thanks for reading it though.

The Karate Kid, Part II - Very good sequel to the timeless classic. This wasnt as kid as the first film but it held its own. Loved the music and score in the film. The atmosphere and the environment in Okinawa felt very real. This was another film that was heartfelt with feel good elements also. Mr. Miyagi gave another great performance and he was genuine as the first film. Tamlyn Tomita was another very pretty counterpart but I still prefer Elizabeth Shue. Glad we have both of these films on blu. Got Em!!
Film Rating - 4 stars (out of 5) PQ - 4 stars (out of 5) AQ - 4 stars (out of 5) |

You were mentioning the military. English is the major American language. With out our military we would probably be speaking something else. COMMAND and CONQUER

La Femme Nikita
Director: Luc Besson Writer: Luc Besson Mains: Anne Parillaud, Marc Duret and Patrick Fontana "A New kind of Lethal Weapon" Synopsis: Nikita (Anne Parillaud) is arrested and found guilty of killing a policeman in a cold blooded murder. But there's something different about this feisty little woman. The Government takes interest in her. They fake her death and forces her into become a assassin for they own needs. She battles with adjusting to this new lifestyle and the man that might be the one. My Take: There are few films out there that catch my attention in this genre. The first movie i can think of is the Jason Bourne Movie. I can say that this movie is some what on par or level as these action thrillers. While Bourne has you more involved in the mysteriousness of his agency. Nikita has you more involved with her personal life mixed with cool action scenes. I really loved how the whole movie went. From her being a little hood rat through her training and becoming a harden assassin. What i liked the most was the realism. She still had her humanity and really could go on living the life she lived. So this movie felt real and i cared for her character. The only dislikes i had about this movie was the musical score. I felt it was kinda cheesy. Im the type of person that thinks the music should be as moving as the story. But that just me. Conclusion: La Femme Nikita is a damn good movie. I'd classify it as a Drama, Romance, Action/Thriller. Done well and told excellent. The director really gets you inside the head of Nikita and exposes her true feelings thought the movie. Besides the musical score this is a damn good film. If you are a drama person or action person i would Highly Recommended this to you. Recommended 4.5/5 |

Last night I finally got around to watching The Darjeeling Limited. Before I begin, here is one disclaimer: I love a good Wes Anderson film. I loved his last one, Fantastic Mr. Fox, and this one is no different.
Movie 5/5 The symbolism used for The Darjeeling Limited is simple but plentiful; bandages, luggage, a belt, glasses, and feathers - all have something to say about the journey these brothers are on. There is a double entendre around every corner [Show spoiler] , and life lessons to be had. Make no mistake, this is typical Wes [Show spoiler] ...but now in India, and somehow more refined. I feel so introspective when watching his films. The brilliant combination of whimsy and detail make this one I will hopefully watch again soon. This movie is clever, but avoids cliché; Wes has such a gift for allowing a willing audience get into the minds of others who are so different from the norm. It’s like listening to a good song by The Smiths [Show spoiler] . Of course, The Smiths, while witty to some, are pretentious to others, so you may fall on the other side of the fence from me.PQ 5/5 The cinematography is beautiful. The colours used are brilliant eye sex. So many tones of yellow...and then bam! pastel blues and purple; I’d reach for a smoke if I had that vice. I thought it was transferred proficiently to BD, detailed and rich (note that I mark on a discrete scale, not a relative scale). AQ 4/5 For this type of movie the audio is perfectly serviceable. I could have used more immersion for some scenes, but the fusion of music and imagery is wonderful and a particular talent of Wes’. |

great review Hep! ![]() i'm a big Wes Anderson fan (my favorite being Fantastic Mr. Fox and then The Royal Tenenbaums) but for whatever reason i've never been able to even finish The Darjeeling Limited. i don't know why. i just don't think i was in the right mental state for it. not that it's a film that needs a required "metal state" to watch, but every time i started it, i would have to stop it after about 30 mins for whatever reason. so i was thinking of picking this up with the Criterion sale (starting tomorrow! ![]() |
