Yeah I agree, the film look really suits The Mummy and it's a really nice looking movie.

I'm hesitant about going with the 4K for every 2D movie. I'm trying to read as many reviews as possible beforehand. 3D always delivers the goods but 4K is a mixed bag and sometimes the difference is negligible.

Well , I did find Baywatch looks amazing, though I havent seen the bluray to see if it looks different. Also the kingsman golden circle looks fantastic. Seemed really sharp .

For now, I mainly buy used 4K since i can get them for under 20 bucks. But for most movies i think ill go regular blu (if there is no 3D release at all)

I been hearing that the 3d is IMO not great but I rather watch it in 3d than in 2d and plus the 3d disc has a Dolby Atmos (TrueHD 7.1 core) track which the other release like Wonder Woman, King Arthur Legend of the Sword, War for the Planet of the Apes, Spider-Man: Homecoming do not come with a Atmos track on the 3d disc.

3D was perfect to us. Every scene was consistent and appropriate. I wouldn't change a thing. As for the story, I was tentative since the 2nd one we found a bit boring with its plodding pace. This one kept us engaged an laughing all the way throughout. I enjoyed the cinematography in this one and prefer the scope framing as well.

I think 4K quality is also very dependant on the display a person has and if it's even HDR capable. I don't know a lot about it but the 4K forum people go on and on about NITS and how much brightness a display is capable of or peak NITS that are even on a 4K disc.

Me and my wife watched Point Break and Tron Legacy last night. Was the first time seeing either of them in 3D again since seeing them in theaters. Was great to see the expanded IMAX scenes in Tron.

Re-watched The Hobbit Extended Trilogy in 3D this weekend. Always a blast! Love the 3D on them. Some scenes really draw you in... Incredible!

Just ordered from Amazon.uk:
Lego Movie 3D and Terminator 2 3D

They should arrive this Friday!

Watched this last night. Great film, lots of laughs, incredible 3D. I thought this was better than the first one. Need to go back and watch it to compare.

The 3d in that film is fantastic, the movie itself IMO very very underrated, the hate that film got was very unnecessary, a very good mix of practical effects and VFX, i really enjoyed the production design, and i thought the movie moved along nicely IMO.

Just watched Thor 2: Dark World in anticipation of Thor Ragnarock 3D to be here very soon from UK. This was first time watching it and to my surprise, it had some decent 3D. I would say mostly medium with mild and strong thrown in there but I was very happy with this release. I thought the movie was pretty decent as well... enjoyed it more than I thought since it had some not so good reviews.

I wanted to watch it before Thor Ragnarok since that's going to knock your socks off and didn't want to be disappointed by 3D in Thor 2 Dark World.

I absolutely loved Dark World 3D.

It's the run-of-the-mill urban Marvel movies that put me to sleep (Civil War & Winter Soldier).

Thor and GotG movies are more exotic and visually interesting for me.

Can't wait for my copy of Ragnarok 3D to arrive.

I have both and enjoy them thoroughly. The 3D is great in both and a little better in part 2. I am looking forward to part 3 next March 1st.

Hi Hardkore,

Knew of the series but only recently read up on how good both were in story and 3D. Able to get good prices on used copies at Amazon, even with the duplicate shipping charge due to multiple sellers.

There was one on eBay selling both together but I think they were Russian Federation versions.

Looking forward to these two.
