Ended up getting another chest piece for my Titan with a little better stats to even him out and a few energies and shards.

You are the new sward guy I think my new armor gives extra damage when using the sward. I was sleepy when we finished and don't really remember what it said.
It was nice to beat it all legit. Was almost as exciting as beating Atheon for the first time.
4 Titans with 4 Blinding bubbles. Makes the first section a lot easier.

couldn't believe we all made it to the bridge!!

i'm still confused on what exactly happened at the bridge w/the gatekeepers though.

do we only have to beat 2 gatekeepers and then just take out the ogre's??

I had that same situation last night. I had to weigh the rewards of each option. I got the new Crota Raid helmet. Heck yeah.

The 2nd sward bearer wasn't even on the other side of the bridge a few times that we tried. The few times that I went over 2nd, he was only over there once and the Ogres were already out. Might be due to the slight cheese that we do at the start of the Bridge section.

I got garbage for equipment black hammer (now have 3) and gauntlets (now have 4) at least I got some shards. I only need 14 to get to 32. Most importantly I did nightfall so I can finally end my quest for lvl 4 Eris soon. Im only like 1000 away.

I had enough bounties and postmaster packages to lvl up black hammer, a badger CCL, and the new gauntlets to almost max.

Took a few tries to get the timing right but I will give it a try again. I think your helmet gives you increased melee attack speed and increased weapon damage during oversoul.

Yeah, the bubbles really seem to help slow the thrall down when they are chasing us.

You know how you all of the sudden have a moment of clarity? Mine was last night. Everyone knows you can sprint until you have Darkness x10 then you are just walking with a 300 woman on your shoulders. I know the lamps take the darkness off so you can sprint again. For whatever reason it didn't really dawn on me until last night that you use the lamps so you can sprint from lamp to lamp. I was always concentrating on killing thrall and getting from point to point. Taking darkness off was more about mobility.

I had a blast too. I think we can take down Crota faster now for sure. Still have no idea what was happening on bridge part though.

Lol....Just toss a grenade, drop a bubble, or shoot a rocket to slow the thraws down. Thats how I almost did the first time solo when we were just getting organized. That and my mad jumping skills over holes.

Also I dont wait until darkness is zero. I usually take off when it is just 1 but that is probably because I am fast enough with the Multi-tool. You need to upgrade that. It is great for that section.

We probably did the same thing: We all go down and stand on the center circle to start the bridge and bring out the sward bearer on our side. We all then retreat to the sward bearer's spawn room. All of the enemies de-spawn on our side. Then we play it as intended. However, when we kill the sward bearer and run across the bridge to kill the mini-boss on the other side; the other side is mass populated. In round 2, the 2nd mini-boss might not even show up and the Orgs are already out.
We beat the bridge part by killing the Orgs from the Home side of the map like the original Cheese. But that was not our intent.

I also liked "Hay, no one is getting the sward, whos gona get the sward". Its like on Atheon's Gate keeper. "Whos going in the gates to get the Relics" followed by silence.
You did good with sward. I don't mind doing it again. I just need to change my Jumping options around.

Thanks Mega. Lol, it is just like with the relic. The more someone uses the sword the easier it will be.

I could see Bungie changing the Crota encounter like they did with Atheon. Most people here know but incase you didn't, it used to be with Atheon the 3 people furthest away got teleported. Now 3 random people are teleported because Bungie wanted everyone to be able to wield the relic. Watch Bungie make it so the swordwielder is randomly assigned after killing the swordbearer.

Yea it's timing, takes a few runs at first but don't be scared to jump early and see how the dps takes his shield. Even with one horn you shouldn't have to wait long. Usually the ghorn will be the rocket that takes it down so that could be a queue to go hit him. Don't be scared to be aggressive.

Timing is big. I thought I had the timing down last night a couple times after I watched 4 rockets hit Crota. I went in for the kill and he cut me in half with that giant ass sword of his.

both Crota and the Swordbearers were complete wads a couple of times where i thought they were down but they kept going.
