Yes, that's pretty much how it works in the corporate world, which I was once a part of. The parent company has general policies, but they never tell us what to do or not to do with the business, pretty much on our own. They will only step in if there is something clearly wrong occurred but that never happened. This is usually when the acquisition was to retain the brand and products which is exactly the case here. Gaining on the existing brands.

Now there are hostile types, when a company was bought simply to eliminate their competitor, remove the top heads, absorb the working staffs, take their existing market share while slowly diminish their brands.

Abrams told the BBC:

"We did the best we can to preserve the story for the audience, but it doesn't always work.

There are a ton of rumours - some true, some false. But I'm grateful for everyone who would want to read a spoiler because it means that they care and want to see the movie.

I know what it feels like, as an enormous Star Wars fan myself."

Hi folks. I don't post here often. You're gonna want to back away if you don't want to be too spoiled. If you like to be spoiled, you may have some mixed feelings from this:

Abrahms has to go all out to leave his mark on the trilogy. He might just do something crazy...

I read it, and its pure BS. It basically says (don't worry, not a "spoiler") that luke doesn't appear till the last scene and all he does in the entire movie is receive his light saber back from the heroes. No other scenes AT ALL. No fights, no talking, no nothing. BS, pure BS.

He has been on set for months and other spoilers talk about multiple scenes with him in it. There's no way they'd bring back Luke Skywalker and have him in the final scene for 20 seconds and thats it.

I'm going to go against the grain and suggest that
[Show spoiler]killing Han
would be a very bold and potentially powerful move for the story arc. As long as it's done right (hopefully,
[Show spoiler]not by Luke's hand
) and serves a purpose for developing the other characters, I'd support it.

It's not like it'd be that much different than
[Show spoiler]Qui-Gon dying in Ep. I, or Obi-Wan dying in Ep. IV
. If anything, it's all part of the pattern now.

Wow, I have absolutely no recollection of that.

It had a lazy script, but beyond that it was a well made film. I enjoyed it for what it was.
