Already been said, the Longhorn Network requires access that I can't picture Saban ever giving.

I don't know why he would ever leave Alabama for another school. Right now he gets virtually every recruit he wants and is the undisputed king of the state. Why leave that for another school? It wouldn't be over money because he's already the highest-paid coach in football and Alabama would match any offer. He's 62 so it's not like he's young anymore. I don't know why he wouldn't stay at Alabama for the rest of his career unless some NCAA violations occur or if he wants to try to become the first coach to win titles at 3 different schools.

I think Texas would be a legit contender for Saban if it wasn't for 2 things. The first as mentioned previously is the Longhorn Network. Saban isn't going to give the time and access that is contractually required of the Longhorn Network. The second is the political landscape of the state of Texas. Right now the governor and much of the board of regents is trying to oust the president, and that is making has led to a toxic environment in Austin that I don't think Saban wants to be a part of.

Saban strikes me as someone that enjoys a challenge. Alabama can't be much of a challenge anymore, as he stands a good chance at winning his third straight national title. I don't know how long he plans on continuing to coach, but I would not be surprised at all if he moved onto a new challenge in the near future.

100% agree.... go fix Grambling if you want a challenge, not a school that is mediocre and still has more money than anyone else.

He's one of the greatest coaches in the history of the game, but he has a monstrous ego. He strikes me as someone that cares a great deal about his legacy.

The targeting rule is so stupid. If you can reverse the ejection why do have to keep the 15 yards?

My daughter is screaming, what is the actual rule? 15 yds for a hit on a defenseless receiver seems legit, but i dont think it warranted an ejection. I just dont know the rule

If you are deemed to 'target' an opponent with your helmet, you are ejected. If after replay it appears was incidental, you can stay in the game but the 15 yard penalty remains.

Thanks. I thought emac was saying that you are ejected no matter what. Considering the score is 5-3 this is a pretty wild game
