After Ice Age, I felt like going back to the prehistoric era, albeit with some strange creatures. Some marvelous 3D and pop outs.

Hi Hardkore,

Getting a $15 gift certificate from Target and applying it most likely to one of those.

Ordered Dragon Nest 3D and Happy Feet Two 3D from Amazon w/ free shipping.

The other day Amazon was sold out and then this morning, there was one (!) copy.

I was happy to order because none of my local shops had Dragon Nest new or used.

In the middle of watching Tai Chi 0. Stopped playing cause being tired couldn't keep eyes open constantly to read subtitles.

A different type of kung fu story which I'm finding quite interesting. The 3D is good and though the depth itself is mild it does have its share of pop outs and one or two pop "ins" coming out of nowhere and going into the screen.

Bought the box set which also has Tai Chi Hero.

A totally awesome movie! I had been thinking of getting this for some time, and I finally grabbed it. It was completely worth it. Such amazing 3D, and the fact it is based on something historical, really makes it worthwhile...to me at least.

I came across the 2D versions recently but didn't know they were available in 3D. I will have to look into these. Thanks Joe!

Glad I tipped you off hardkore. Got a break on a used box set on eBay for $35 or so but right now see only new ones going for at least $45 plus $7 shipping. Beware there are also German copies. These are Asian. Of course, the discs are available individually.

Hi Hardkore,

This was a great film indeed. Won't vouch for the historical accuracy but the story was great and the 3D phenomenal. In this case, could not have one without the other!

Default 3D Blu-ray Disc You Last Bought or Watched Thread

Finally got this one at a decent price from a fellow member here. [emoji4]

Just started watching and the future scene and the first scenes with Arnold look awesome in 3D! Conversion looks great. Plus this is a “stretchable” 3D blu, meaning it fills-up the whole 2.40:1 screen with my anamorphic lens — No black bars anywhere. I wish I could invite you all to watch with me.

I'd say Tai Chi Zero and Tai Chi Hero are another two for your unfairly criticized list Joe.

The Australian versions are English friendly and the Hong Kong versions (the box set just bundles them) are English friendly and region free.

Myself I mostly use Amazon .co.uk .fr .de .it whatever. Had trouble with some other sites saying they couldn't or wouldn't ship to US. And of course most titles from the UK have English covers, etc. To get 4k and 3d combos, I Mostly have used amazon.fr. I have been successful with redeeming the Digital copies from some of the titles I have ordered from France but never had any success for such from the UK even before they were being phased out.

Hi 13,

Can see that. That's why in fairness had to mention the depth was soft but there was good separation, pop outs and ins which makes it overall enjoyable and no question quite pleasing 3D experience.

But there will be some who will look at one aspect and put it down because of it. I had to read many viewpoints in order to realize there was a cross section of opinion and thus it could not be poor like some made it out to be.

Am awake now so getting back to it!

SPIDERMAN homecoming

Enjoyed the humour, pace and solid 3d, not making me say wow but good depth and not even a hint of crosstalk or loss of colour

Hi Darcy,

Shaggy has done more to promote this disc than the producers!

Just finished Tai Chi 0. Its half the story with Tai Chi Hero the final part.

Its very well done, a combination of action and comedy with some clever production techniques. Enjoyable on all counts. 3D is nice overall. Glad we got it.
