I also would get rid of the VHS logo and try to do something more "blu-ray like" with the logos such as the cover of Halloween 2 that a very talented member posted months ago: http://img268.imageshack.us/img268/5...lloween2bd.jpg
that's a pretty good idea actually. you're talking about a larger logo on the spine, right?

i see what you mean about the last one. your monitor must be very bright. i had to raise the exposure quite a bit to see it. i'll fix it though, thanks.
Ahh ok, I understand your choice now, I wasn't aware of the original VHS spines being like that. Good call.

ScottDS: I am totally loving your Hitchcock covers and I know you've been asked if you were doing covers for the other movies in the Universal Hitchcock set but I was wondering if you had considered doing matching covers for all currently available Hitchcock movies (regardless of studio) and then the same for ones released in the future?

If you go back a few pages, he's done covers for them all except the 3 Criterions.

Oh, for crying out loud. I knew he had. I had even previously seen them all. I really have no idea why I asked.

Scott, will you be doing the three Criterions to add to these? And can I have the link to those you're willing to share now?

Because the answer to the question you're asking is actually IN the images you quoted

He did 2 different covers for the "old" edition, and 2 covers for the new edition which is not yet released and so he didn't include the special features on those, as they are not yet confirmed
Sook ma plooms! Does your current Blu Ray of ETD have Warriors Journey on it?

Does it?

I was thinking about doing the three Criterions but I'm leaning towards "No, maybe later." And after all these, I need a break!

I'd rather wait till everything is done - I redid the back covers so anything I send you now would be replaced later.

I have five covers left so stay tuned!

I'm loving the covers, but I would make sure that the logos and titles on the spines align perfectly with one another. It's not a big deal if the colors of all the spines don't match, but I think that lining everything up is a necessity.

The original 2007 release had Warrios Journey. Warner lost the rights and reissued ETD in 2010 without it.

Yes and also on the cover of Part 2 you kept the "VHS ultra hifi stereo" logo near the barcode and that's weird. I'd remove it as this doesn't appear on any of the other covers (so is the VHS logo that doesn't appear anywhere else except on Part 2)

And then it would be perfectly perfect

It was a rhetorical question. I know fine well that Warriors Journey isn't on the first Blu Ray release.

The reason I asked the question is because someone said that the first two covers were for the "original" Blu Ray release but the special features were "incorrect".

Anyway I'm bored.....

Dude, I think you're misunderstanding something.

The first release of ETD from 2007 does have Warrior's Journey on it. The reissue from 2010 does not have it.

The first two covers I made were for the 2007 release. The other set I made was for the forthcoming anniversary edition.

I don't mind waiting but please, do the Criterions as well. Also, any plans to create a matching cover for The Lodger?

having liked your vintage take on the Friday the 13th series, guessing you'll come around to Part VIII, I was curious if you would use this image as it is better then the actual one used, or at least for me since I am from New York State! thx

Is The Lodger even available? A search pulled up a UK release, but I'd rather wait till MGM releases the rest of their titles in the US. (Along with Sabotage, Young and Innocent, and The Paradine Case, plus Lifeboat from Fox.)

As for the Criterions, we'll see. They're more difficult to pull off since, well... it's Criterion!

i fixed what i could find so all the color levels should be ok now. i enlarged the titles on the spine. i didn't make them uniform in size. instead i left them the way they are on just about everything. but they are much easier to see. these aren't going to be absolutely perfect but please let me know if i've missed something.

[Show spoiler]
