Logan was definitely good. Surprisingly so, in fact.

It's strange. I always had you pegged for a DC guy.

What Raimi films you liked besides the Spider Man ones?

I like DC far more than Marvel.

I'd trade Batman and his rogue gallery (and to a lesser degree either TDK or Batman: The Animated Series) over all Marvel's catalogue.

I’d definitely put it over many disappointing comic book films such as:

Deadpool
Elektra
Origins: Wolverine
The Amazing Spider-Man 2
Superman III
Superman IV
The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen
Steel
Catwoman

So you like Raimi more than Fincher?

I dislike Batman And Robin but still, I managed to sit it and i give credit to the soundtrack atleast.

F4 had no redeeming qualities. It makes Endgame look like The Godfather

Logan is not a good film. It really, desperately wants to be taken seriously as a Western superhero movie, but it's undermined by coincidence and one awful decision by Logan that gets a bunch of innocents killed, is entirely about creating an unexpected twist on the story from Shane, and ends up with little personal consequence for the characters involved.

The farm scene ruins the film for me.

Charles, coming off of his meds and wanting to present Logan with a life without violence, a life of family, convinces Logan to shack up at this family's farm for the night despite the fact that they know their being chased, and they know (or at least can intelligently infer) that the Reevers have Caliban who can track them down. On top of that, Logan decides to essentially make the situation with the farmer's neighbor worse by threatening them in a fight where he has no stakes and should probably just be keeping his head down. The whole sequence is so decidedly out of character for Logan, having him completely forget his current dangerous situation, ends with such violence that gets almost completely forgotten except for what happens to Charles, and really just there to act as another callout to a better movie (Shane), that it undermines the entire film.

Oh, and then the Reevers track down Logan and Laura when they find a picture with coordinates of their destination on the back.

If Caliban had died in Oklahoma City, I could imagine accepting Logan's acquiescence to Charles' whim to play house on the farm. If the young Wolverine had tracked down Logan and Laura on his own through his enhanced abilities, I could imagine buying the action beats that end the film.

As it is, Logan is a film that feels like an uncomfortable mixture of the serious Western and the schlocky superhero movie with gore.

It's far from worthless or even bad. Jackman is great. The production looks really good. The movie up through Oklahoma City is pretty strong, but it just doesn't really hold together.

I actually quite liked Fantastic Four, at least up until that 'One Year Later' card came up. The remainder of the film was Josstice League-levels of disjointed.

Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me is the best film based on a TV show.

Lord Raimi directed the best horror film of the 80s when he was only nineteen. That power.

I don't like any of the films you listed except WW and maybe Watchmen.

Don't care about em, they're popcorn flicks feel free to criticize them.

I am referring to Interstellar, Dunkirk and Prestige.
