Just finished UGC veteran trophy, so that means my first platinum!!

I prefer the good karma playthrough, which i did on the hard difficulty. The enemies didn't really seem harder to kill, but Cole took more damage when hit.

I'm now trying to get the plat for Infamous but the Stunt Master trophy is killin me

Before I move on to what might be the last story mission, I want to confirm that I can continue to earn xp and purchase powers after the story. The only thing I'm missing is freeze rockets, I think, that take 4100 xp, and I have only 2300 right now. I would rather bore myself to tears playing UGC after finishing my good karma, hard game.

I'll only have a few things to clean up in my evil karma game, probably on easy.

You can continue after you finish the game. Time "rewinds" back to your last mission, so the final mission is always remaining on the map (but you keep any shards / XP you've earned).

I see. It may be easier just to replay the last mission for the XP rather than do UGC.

After finishing this once with good karma on hard, I must say, I was a bit let down by some things. After all of the suspense built up by the beast getting closer and closer to New Marais, I had been girding my loins for an epic battle. Yet, it was little more than

[Show spoiler]a few volleys of sticky grenades or sticky rockets

. In fact, you could pretty much approach all of the bosses and minibosses the same way, so long as you practice evasive maneuvers at the same time. The toughest boss was the Titan for one reason. It took me a long time to figure out

[Show spoiler]you had to run up to it while it was shining

While the graphic detail and cinematic cutscenes were a big improvement over the first, as well as better development of the karma system with respect to progression of the story, all in all, I can't say i2 is better than inFamous, though I wouldn't say it is worse. It's a lot easier, though, and perhaps a lot less satisfying as an "accomplishment" at the end. Other easiers are finding blast shards and finding dead drops. And getting to them is monumentally easier. No complex shipyards or prison towers to negotiate at peril. The stunt system was trimmed substantially (this was good, I thought). The many new powers added interest, but after using them all, I did not find most of them useful. Some were counterproductive (detonation blast). I could have used ionic powers more, but tried to conserve resources, and often didn't use them at all. Co-oping with Kuo and Nix also added interest, but was not fleshed out at all. I usually just ignored their assistance. Energy sources were hugely abundant. You could usually just perform a drain without looking for one.

I missed the elevation and the well placed wires and tracks from inFamous. I got around in i2 mostly by running.

That's all for now. It seems like a lot of complaints, but other than being pretty easy, it was a fun game. So it's onto the evil karma, easier game. I just need the evil karma trophies, to get all the powers, and 50 kills in a powered down area (oh, and one stupid UGC level to create).

You can also edit an existing one, I got my trophy this way (maybe going to try and build a mission myself later)

this is how i got it too. i just wanted to see what it was like, messed around for a fwe minutes and quit. to my surprise the tophy popped up.

Yeah, that happened to me, too. I didn't mean to cheat to get it. I was going to do it later, but the trophy popped up.

I would have to say that the Evil Cole in the 1st was just plain better than the good Cole and I expect the same in this game.... but I got a while to see if that is true.

I actually thought the

[Show spoiler]evil

ending was more heartbreaking, to be quite honest. That final scene with

[Show spoiler]Zeke

really tore me up.

The actual ending sequence on the

side was pretty sad.

But I definitely agree that that

[Show spoiler]final "battle" on the evil side with killing Zeke

was rough.
