I think putting in the original mono in lossless would be just fine. I see no real reason for a 5.1 mix anyway.

I certainly respect your opinion, but I surely do not agree with it, this score should never be in mono, it just does NOT do it justice at all, but I understand there are mono fans out there, I am just not 1 of them.

My Little Boy is going to be watching this movie for his first time soon(after I get the audio done) and I want him to be impressed with the full surround that only a DTS-HD MA 5.1 audio can do, He is old enough to know the difference, and he, like I, love FULL surround sound

VUDU has this available to rent or own in 1080p. The audio is 2.0

Have you listened to the audio? Does it suffer from the same problems as the Blu-rays do?

I am finished with the audio project, I have gotten the levels very, very close to perfect, and the blend is seamless, ALL sound effects were left in, but you can definitely hear the missing parts now, what a HUGE difference, now my Son and I are going to watch it, I told him I wanted him to wait until I had the audio right, so if anyone is interested in it just shoot me a PM, I have it in 2 flavors, 1 in DTS-HD MA 5.1, and the second in Dolby Digital 5.1, I really would like my fellow Conan Fans to give this a listen but if not, that is OK to, but now I am fine until we hear what Universal is going to do.

I have also bought statues for $200 - $300 and turned around after a few years and sold them for $500 - $800

A Hulk staue I use to have goes for $1200 on a regular basis on ebay. It was only $350 when it first came out. Unfortunatly I sold it before the prices boomed and only got $650

Projectors and recievers don't ever earn me a profit. But I am able to buy Projectors and recievers with the profit that I make off these statues. That and my room looks cool!!!
That statue is freaking awsome!! What does it measure, just curious?

Also, nice countertops!

Well finally got around to watching this last night. If you're a die hard fan and know this movie inside out. Yes,the soundtrack score is as bad as everyone has complained in this thread. But you can hear every other thing pitch perfect and clear.

The PQ was good, but not great in my opinion. It is the best I've seen it,but was kind of underwhelmed by a great deal of shots. But am glad I got it.

That gives me hope that some of my naruto statues will be worth some money someday.

OK Fellow Barbarian Fans, for those of you that PM'd me in interest of the new audio, well I am burning a test BD tonight to test out the Isolated Score I just finished up, I am pretty certain this baby is going to pack a punch LOL, the only thing that sucked is I could not use the ending song on the CD, track 16 because this is the extended version and not theatrical(there would have been too many edits) so what I did was isolate the score on the BD and brought it into this project, as well as the ending score, so in affect there are 17 tracks on this Iso Score, when I send you the links for the final replacement track for the BD I will include links to the Barbarian Score as well, and Destroyer when I finish it, I decided not to upmix the lossless wav files from the CD to 5.1, I left them 2.0, but they are DTS-HD MA 2.0

If anyone is interested in the Iso Scores let me know in PM's, just keep in mind that Barbarian is in sync with the HK full length version, not the US version(it is missing 1 scene) now Destroyer is another matter, all versions are the same correct? so if I sync to the HK it will work on the US? or maybe not depending on intros, I would assume most are getting the HK version because of the extras though.

I received my H.K. copies of both Conan films today and the chorus is definitely slightly muted in Barbarian. Is it easily noticeable to me? Yes, because I am a big fan of the film. Will most people notice it? No, and this leads me to believe that neither Universal or Fox will offer a replacement program. Hopefully junkie will sell me a better BD with the proper score.

Yes it would if you are into mono, but we have no lossless mono available to us, and I prefer the fixed DTS-HD 5.1 track myself, I want to enjoy Basil's score all around, and NOT be limited to the fronts

He is 37" from Nose to Tail. Great Piece.

The Maker of this is also making a smaller version and a NTG (nose to Gill) bust of Bruce. Here is a link http://www.sharkcityozark.com/index.html

Thanks for the nice remarks about the countertops.

Also thanks to all the others for the nice comments about my Bruce/JAWS piece of awsomeness.

Thanks for the information. So it's there, but just slightly muted, as opposed to the U.S. release where it isn't there at all? And it's also there during the recovery scene where he's slinging his sword on the beach?

Thanks again for the information. If there's no replacement for the U.S. version, I wouldn't mind a little muted on the Hong Kong.

Well, it is muted in the first scene and at the Battle of the Mounds scene. It is actually barely audible during the beach scene.

Amazon France have just sent my pre-ordered box set. It will be interesting to confirm if the specs really are exactly the same as the HK versions.

Should be. Fox was responsible for both.
