If I got a stapled paper to the slipcover I think I'd be laughing my ass off.

Beautiful and way sexy (for a TooN that is) lol

The part where Jessica falls out of the Taxi cab and shows her under wear is still covered up by her dress do to Disney digitally altering the film in 2002.
In other news the frame in the film that shows part of Betty Boo's black underwear that Disney took out when they digitally altered the film back in 2002 by digitally lowering her skirt is back on this Blu Ray release so if you care you can now see part of Betty Boo's black underwear in full HD lol
All you have to do is slow it down frame by frame as she fixes her garter belt right before Jessica sings her song.

My Best Buy just had that little notice taped on to the sale tag, nothing on the actual copies, just on the display.

I haven't owned this movie since I had it on VHS. Never upgraded to DVD and haven't seen it since the 90s. Man it's so good.

I first checked out all three of the shorts. I remember seeing TUMMY TROUBLE on Honey I Shrunk The Kids(I think), but had never seen the other ones. So nice they included them.

I still have the movie poster up in my room that I took from the theater break room with the Touchstone logo on it and an acutal spindle of film from the trailer they sent us. The sticker on the film trailer says Touchstone and if you hold the acutal film up to the light you can see the touchstone logo at the beginning of the trailer. I wish I had a film projector to watch the film on.

That sucks! My best buy had about 7 copys of the Hunchback and about 6 copys of Mulan on Blu Ray. Brother Bear was there aswell . Funny I remember that movie played at the movie theater I worked for when it first came out and I have posters and an acutal spindle of film from it but never got around to watching it.
Well I have the inital teaser trailer( I was the Booth Manager of the first theatre I worked), poster and lobby cards and I can tell you they say walt disney pictures. it was from day 1 a walt disney pictures release.

If youhave some super rare 1 of kind poster and trailer that no other theatre in the world got perhaps you would like to scan it and take a photo of it showing them off?

perhaps you are mistaking the jerry bruckheimer films logo with the lighting striking the tree on the side of the road as the touchstone logo.

And by spindle of film, I am assuming you mean a REEL of film?

Well any BD release can have "questionable" picture quality. I've been on these forums for a long time and there will always be someone who has a problem with something, even when it's amazing remasters like Taxi Driver and Lawrence of Arabia. This release is still the best Roger Rabbit has ever looked on home video.

As for the bonus features, nothing important was lost. Unless you seriously want to play games with your remote control. I wish they had a retrospective documentary or something for the 25th Anniversay, since this is the Anniversay edition(and yet nothing besides the cover is there to really celebrate it) but I'm glad we didn't just get a bare bones release.

Those are pretty much the only complaints though.

There's also the problem with the DVD but Disney is already fixing that.

So, who actually knows what is going on here... Re: Amazon and Disney? Are they:

1) Going to put that obnoxious sticker on every copy?
2) Going to change out cover art and slipcovers so contents list is correct?
3) Going to swap out the DVD for a corrected disc?

I'm most inclined to suspect #1, and in that case... Are those damn stickers easy to remove without destroying the slip?

The stickers on my slip peeled off in about two seconds with no problem and no leftover residue.

Watched mine last night. It looks so great. Lots of detail and plenty of natural grain intact.

It sounds like there are replacement discs. At least, I received this response from customer service:

Quote:
Thank you for your e-mail about your “Who Framed Roger Rabbit: 25th Anniversary Edition” Blu-ray and DVD Combo Pack. We’re concerned about your inquiry and are happy to help you today.

We’ve been made aware that some copies of this movie were inadvertently released with an incorrect version of the DVD. We apologize for the inconvenience and would like to send you the correct disc. In order to receive this replacement DVD, please reply to this e-mail with answers to the following questions:

- On the shiny side of the disc, near the center, there is a list of letters and numbers starting with a 4 letter code such as "DVDL." What numbers are listed after the “DVDL”?

- What is your full mailing address and phone number?

Once we receive this information and confirm that you have the incorrect disc, we’ll send out a postage-paid return mail label. Please use this label to send us the incorrect DVD only; you should keep all original packaging and other discs to enjoy while you’re waiting for your new DVD. When we receive your disc, we’ll send the replacement disc to you.

I'm Amazon Prime and preordered it early February. Cancelled my order yesterday as my local Best Buy had it in stock and for the same price. Better than waiting another week and a half.

Agreed. While this is probably the release that had more stickers to peel off then anything else I've ever bought, they came off very easily and the slip looks fantastic once the stickers are gone.

I don't even think it had to be that hard. Instead of sending a "delay" e-mail, Amazon could've just sent an e-mail with the info on the sticker. Send an e-mail with the sticker's image! All of Amazon's customers have e-mail addresses, so it's a pretty easily solution, unless Amazon wanted to wait for corrected discs. Waiting for corrected discs makes more sense than waiting on stickers.

Stickers usually peel off well, yes, but in this case I really wanted to know about the giant, square "CORRECTION" sticker and how easy it comes off -- I could imagine if it was produced in a hurry as it probably was, it may have been manufactured differently with stronger or lower quality adhesive.

It came off very easily. Mine had it on the front of slip.

Thanks for the clarification, that's good to know. Trying to decide if I should go on a mission to find one locally (which would be an undertaking since I'm in a fairly rural area) or just wait for Amazon to get their act together.

I'm surprised such a niche and obscure title got a blu-ray release!
