You guys might want to check on me every now and again over the course of next year until they announce the specs of the Ultimate to see if I've cracked because it's going to be a hell of a wait for that thing next year.

My guess. It will be a giant cardboard box. Maroon and where oddly what looked to be a crest with a large 'H' has been smudged out to make a yellow and black batman symbol. It will fold out and have mini shelves and alcoves and more then you want in DVD's and 9 blurays....299.99!

I'm going to have to contact family in US to acquire the bane digibook. That'll hold me over until the ultimate edition is released.

I preordered the cowl earlier. I just saw all the editions. That Bane digibook looks sick. I want to see the steelbook from BB before I make final my decision on which to buy.

Oh this sucks....I had my heart set on the cowl edition then I saw Best Buy would have a steelbook with the Batman Reborn documentary and Target will have a digibook...Not usually a digibook guy but those cover look awesome.

Digibook, Steelbook, cowl, or wait for the trilogy set. So many options.

Yeah. I'm in for the cowl (will probably ditch the batpod as it's less iconic than the cowl as the center piece.
And the steelbook coz I got the BB and DKR ones with movie cash (plus bonus disc).

I will try to hold off on the digibook.

Those two editions SHOULD hold me over til the ultimate trilogy next year.

I have the Cowl edition on order so far, but I wanna see what the Best Buy steelbook looks like. Those Digibooks from Target look S I C K ! ! ! But it's a no brainer for me... The Dark Knight Rises with The Dark Knight on it. I loved Bane, but it's Batman all the way for me.

Mmmmm more like $29 after shipping and taxes....

Will wait and see, I'm sure Amazon will match.

Just preordered the BD/DVD/UV through Amazon, though my finger is always one step away from cancelling the order if I find a better deal...or if Amazon PMs Walmart's $24.99 Cowl price.

I hope no one's forgotten that there's also an Ultimate Trilogy to be released in 2013. Whatever it is, they're giving it a few months so people will be more willing to double-dip on it.

So anyone who's planning on getting 4 versions of the initial release should be wary of the fact that WB is preparing something even bigger for next year.

That said, I'll probably get the Mask edition.
The Target digibook is tempting, but since the other two films don't have Digibook releases, it won't fit in(Also I keep my digibooks separate from the rest of the collection).
Never been a fan of steelbooks, but if the Best Buy bonus disc actually has a worthwhile documentary, I'll ditch the cowl and get the steelbook.

And then in 2013, I'll probably double dip for the Ultimate Trilogy if it comes with really good special features, and isn't just fancy packaging.

Wow, I missed a lot in a few hours. So... does Walmart charge your card right away to pre-order?

Also, would the Best Buy Cowl come with the exclusive disc or is that only going to be on the standard release?

Looks like I'll be getting the Limited Edition Cowl set, the Best Buy Exclusive Steelbook, and both Target Exclusive DigiBooks. There goes a full paycheck... but it'll be worth it.

I wonder what the ultimate trilogy slated for next year will have? Honestly I liked TDKR, but not so much that I'd buy it end of this year, and then double-dip and buy it again when the new set comes out next year.
