Pardon my ignorance but how do you delete an update and reinstall it? I'd like to do this since I'm having the rest mode issue myself to see it it resolves it.

With your system off, hold down the power button until it beeps twice. This starts the system in Safe Mode. There's an option in this mode to "install system software." Select it and your PS4 will reinstall the software.

Tried pulling the power cord from system & then press hold power button trick. If that doesn't work, I'll try Safe Mode. Thanks for the reminder of how to get there.

I was about to blame MS for a money hat of some sort, but when I looked it's not out on XB1 either?

Looks like HBO is taking their time, and maybe they want to release on both platforms at the same time to not appear to favor one or the other? (supposedly it's been said to be "out before years end" by MS, and back in January it was supposed to be "out shortly after the PS3 version" which itself released in March 2014).

Seems to work. Don't know if it's a quick fix for everyone..

With the system turned off (entirely) I unplugged the power cord, pressed power for a few seconds.. (Oddly the system beeped once & I saw the blue light strip for a sec) Waited 30 seconds before plugging in power cord.. Turned on system's power through the console button..

I've put it in Rest Mode twice now & the Orange light ain't blinking.

Did the cold reboot earlier. Thought that fixed it. Orange was solid for a few hours at least.

Just did the Safe Mode reboot & software update too.

Came back home to find the Orange light blinking.

Until the next update I'm not putting the system in Rest Mode again.

Mine isn't blinking in rest mode on the first try after doing this method. Thanks bro, hopefully I didn't jinx it

I was half sleep when I did the update last night and must of forgot to turn the PS off but it went into standby on it's own and the orange light is solid.

A friend sent me an invite to try out game share and it worked really well, though eventually the connection dropped.

it was weird seeing his screen and his gameplay on my PS4, but then he passed the controller over and I gave it a go. I did very bady, I had no clue on the controls (I think it was Lords of the fallen or something), anyway, it seemed to be pretty responsive.

As I say, the connection dropped which was the only worrying thing; both of us have very fast connections and this was late night so there shouldn't have been any issues on our connections. Plus, this is a directly console to console connection so I don't know why it failed. If that happened mid game while I was playing it would be a pain.

I'm going to see if I can gameshare driveclub with a friend this weekend (the single player side)

So has anyone been able to get the Youtube app to work for uploading? I was FINALLY able to sign in with my account, but when I go to upload youtube videos it says it's not currently available.

Haven't tried it myself but people on Gaf have said they have gotten it to work.
