Well isn't that something... so other amiibo gives you the chance to get one as well? I thought it was just SSB Link and TP Link.

I got my third Epona from SMB Link, I have TP Link as well. I got one Epona from each back when I got the game a few months ago. My son and I scan our amiibos on both of our accounts just about everyday since June. Well about a week ago SMB Link summoned Epona for a second time. So it happens but obviously super rare

Smash, Twilight and Ocarina have all given me Epona, as well as Rider Link!

I got Epona today... :/
thankfully, I saved before hand and reloaded.
In fact I did that most of the day.
Wound up with all the missing clothes.
Twilight, Shiek and one other took 200 times each before I got what I wanted.
Ocarina gave me 6 caps today

Now all I need is the Twilight Bow, Gannon's Sword and BigGoron's Sword and I'll have everything...
Those only start to spawn after you beat one Mech Beast.

All I did was save and reload. No clock changing. that would get too confusing for me.

Functionally, Smash Link and TP Link are the same. The only difference between them is the sculpt of the figures, but the data on the chip is the same.

So I got to van ruta today solved, the puzzle and now fighting the boss. I have only 7 shock arrows....am I screwed? What's the best way to attack him?

I used bomb arrows. It was my hardest fight because I only had 4 hearts and no ancient arrows at the time.

I have 6 hearts and the 7 shocks. Guess I'll keep trying. I tried to leave and get arrows but you cant

While you can use the shock arrows, amongst other weapons, for the battle against that boss, the main reason why you needed the shock arrows in the first place was for the part where you are in the water with the Zora Prince using the arrows to take out the various parts of the beast so you can enter it.

The game just advises having at least 20 of those arrows for that part in case you miss a few times.

After that you don't really "need" any amount those arrows specifically, as long as you have enough weapons for that battle.

You can't just "walk off" of the Divine Beasts, but you can teleport off of them.

When you go to the map of the beast, there should be an option to "leave area," which will put you back on the regular map, and from there you can go anywhere you want. When you are ready to go back, just teleport onto the Divine Beast (you activated a teleport spot when you first got on it).

My Switch is set up to automatically install updates, it's just easier than doing manual ones. On the bright side, the update allows you to get items from the News channel.
