I and my husband watched my Halloween II (1981) steelbook Blu-ray of the 4K Scan. It looked wonderful to me.
I just hope Universal releases this and Halloween III: Season of the Witch on actual 4K sooner or later. I was hoping maybe this year, but with Halloween Kills being pushed back to October 2021, it might behoove them to release them next year. |

Finally pulled the trigger on these and was able to get Halloween II price-matched to the Season of the Witch. So instead of paying $88 CAD for both, I landed them for $70 CAD. This will probably be the last time I purchase either of these, since I mainly just wanted to finally have subtitles and the 4K scans looked too good to pass up.

Steelbooks arrived today, plan to watch them this weekend!
![]() Considering how much The Fog's SF Steelbook goes for, which used the same disc as SF's standard Blu-ray, I can only imagine how much these two Steelbooks will go for once stock fully runs out. They received new 4K scans, fixed the 2.0 audio mix, and added English subtitles. |

Yeah, I've seen Halloween II at two different FYEs, but nothing for Season of the Witch. Amazon says they'll have the Steelbook of H3 back in stock on August 6th. Price is currently $23.90. That's a sliver cheaper than on Shout's site.

FYE has all but gone extinct here in AZ. Just one left in a mall and it's tiny with mostly pop art junk instead of movies. That place used to be my go to years ago.
Anyway, i ordered Halloween II & III yesterday. Big carpenter & steelbook fan and managed to get all but The Fog as i think it was the first to sellout back in April(?). I snoozed on it hoping for a price reduction. Oops. |

Halloween 2 Steelbook went OOP 8/12 according to Scream's site. That would mean they have sold out and won't get more. If there's still cheap copies at Fryes, y'all should get to gettin'. Looks like it's still at Amazon too, but not too cheap.

Halloween 3 seems to have shot up in third-party seller prices. I wonder if these steelbooks are finally starting to step into obscurity, or if it's just a temporary hiccup.
I own them both and want to keep them. It's just interesting to see when the Limited aspect starts becoming apparent. |
