I don't get the hate for 2. The comedy was good. Some of the lines were great especially Rick's, ("I used to have a roommate, but my mom moved to Florida")

Awful remake? I don't remember any remake. And I've seen everyone in theaters.

Ghostbusters 2 is a terrific movie and sure as hell a cult classic.

So I make up my own mind and don't follow the herd. Therefore, I'm stupid. Good to know. By the way, I was on to things before they even became mainstream and big with the masses. So I think I know a little bit more. But whatever cranks that Honda.

Then call me weird. I loved part 2 when I was a kid, but as the years went by, it feels more like a TV movie than a proper movie like the first one. I agree entirely with Siskel's review here:

Especially Gene's point about Murray having to carry the movie. Compared to the first movie, the special effects aren't very 'special', the score sounds cheap as do the songs, the 'retirement' from ghostbusting premise slows the movie down, and it never really gets going till the statue of liberty. Also everyone except for Ernie Hudson appears like they don't really want to be there, which isn't surprising given many of them (Sigourney Weaver, Bill Murray, Dan Ackroyd) were already having proper success on their own.

I'll still watch it as there are some good laughs and the river of slime bit was ok, but there is also so much bad in this movie, especially Peter Macnicol who I enjoyed a lot more in Dracula Dead and Loving it.

I love part 2 so much. I hope they don’t ignore it. I briefly mentioned this before but I’m wondering if the Ecto has been in the barn since 1989 when they got the 1A meaning they are two separate vehicles.

Also meaning we can possibly see both cars in this film! The kids driving around Ecto 1 and the OGs come to save the day in an updated 1A, specifically with the logo changed back.

Yeah I love part 2 pretty much as much as the original. Never got the hate for it. I didn't realize it had been so hated until years later from when it was in theatres and I was shocked. Still am. I've always chalked it up to impossibly high expectations. Some films become unfortunate victims of that especially sequels.

I enjoy 2 a lot as well. Whenever I watch the first film, I almost always have to watch the second right after.

I love II almost as much as the original. I don't get the hate as well, I only knew there are people who didn't like it when internet started.

It's OK.

Not as good as the first, but not that bad.

I love 2 but it's very weird in the movie that no one likes the Ghostbusters anymore and everyone seems to have forgotten that they saved the city.

It's 1am here where they filmed the darn thing and I'm sitting here waiting for them to post it.

In the meant time I'll just keep watching the Wonder Women '84 trailer.
