I was almost going to ask if Frys was a reputable site to order from. If it's still in stock, I think I'm going to order from there instead of Amazon.

I initially thought the same and poked around online to research before ordering.

I emailed them for clarification on their aromatic tracking email and they were super quick to respond and helpful with the tracking - I’m happy so far and just hope it arrives in good condition.

I did the same thing, and it seemed legit. I ordered a copy, & if it’s true what it claims, I should have it by January 20th. Hopefully our copies arrive in good condition

This might be one of my favourite catalog releases on the format.

So much detail on this 4k scan, I find myself staring at things in the distance rather than the focus of the scene because I'm so impressed with how well I can make things out. Great colors as well in Dolby Vision. Loved the Making Perfection doc, it's great they got Kevin Bacon and Michael Gross included.

Same here, and I didn’t want to pay scalpers fees on ebay, when I checked the forums here last night I went to the website and saw it was listed for $39.99

Couldn’t miss the chance to snag this set again!

If Kev can stoop to making those awful adverts for a UK telecoms company then he can certainly spend a bit of time talking about one of his most fan-favourite movies.

Why? I don't mean to sound confrontational but he owes us nothing more than the performance. I agree though, the adverts are awful.

Apologies if this has been discussed previously (please let me know where), but what's up with the opening shot / scene with the cliff? That's the only moment that didn't look fantastic in Dolby Vision. Wonky special effect shot that looks worse in UHD?

Optical effect shot. It'll always look a little rough.

I made an account just to let you all know that Fry's is a real site and they have a few B&M stores in my area, although it's been a while since I visited one.

We ordered on line from Fry's Wednesday and received our copy today. Just got finished watching it, everything is as it should be.

If I'm not mistaken I think it's actually a matte painting of the cliff. I could be wrong though.

I was sure I was gonna be sending this right back to Amazon when I opened my mailbox and saw that it was sent in one of those horrible bubble mailers. Zero damage, surprisingly. Gave it a watch today. Great transfer. Right up there with The Shining as far as classic film restorations go. It occurred to me, however, how much more expensive this hobby has gotten for me as of late. Between this and the Midsommar Director's Cut, I'm out a hundred bucks for two movies.
