I have both european versions, and they are in identical format with no slips. So would expect other regions to be same format as first too.

[QUOTE=Laservampire;19403684
(Still a bit baffled by the inclusion of the 2k digital, bland looking facebook movie though) [/QUOTE] It was a first time watch for me, and thought it a well crafted film. Mark Zuckerberg was convincingly portrayed as a programming nerd. Unlike most people I had some sympathy for him, because he did the majority of the work. (At least in the film, I have no idea if this is true to life.) The business entrepreneurs and managers were psychopaths which grapped or wanted a fair share of the money, whilst contributing little of real value. Again quite true to life in my experience, lol. All personal taste of course. I had never seen Stripes before either, and find it hard to understand why it is such a well regraded film... |

Bill Murray A good comedy, unlike those of today where movies say they are comedy, but really aren't. |

I’d only seen Stripes once before and didn’t think much of it then, and this UHD represents my second viewing, and my opinion of it still hasn’t really changed. It definitely has it moments, but considering that Reitman, Ramis and Murray would collaborate again just a few years later on Ghostbusters, the difference between those two films is night and day imho.

Retailers can still choose to do it the "old" way, i.e. not pre-collect VAT. What happens then is that the transport company in the destination country will charge the customer the VAT + an additional handling fee (approx $9 per package in my country). Plus the package will take longer time to reach the customer (approx 1 week in my country), since the VAT handling is done "manually". Also, IOSS is only an option for goods valued up to €150. Higher than that and it'll have to be handled the "old" way. Details about IOSS here: https://ec.europa.eu/taxation_customs/ioss_en |

Sorry, don't know. But e.g. DeepDiscount are supposed to use IOSS from what I understand. And now when I add stuff in the shopping cart on DD and select shipping country and zip code, the VAT is added on checkout as expected. So it looks like it's working ok. Have you tried that?
PS. Note that the behavior described above was after I reported to DD that they did not handle IOSS properly when I ordered Columbia Classics 4K Vol 2 from them back in August. For that order no VAT was pre-collected at checkout, so I'm expecting to have to pay VAT + handling fees when it arrives. |

All of the other titles in volume 1 and 2 are an improvement over previous versions, really showing off what the format is capable of. |

Youtube Link showing the slipcovers. (no that's not me)
They look pretty good though I wish they had the usual 4k Ultra HD black bar across the top of the slipcovers too. Because I will be pulling out the three movies I like and displaying them as individual movies, and selling the rest. |

I finally placed my preorder for this box. I remember getting the first box was a bit of a hassle, as I didn't preorder it, so I am hoping to have a nice and smooth acquisition process for this one.
I really love the first box, and feel it was a first rate effort. I am guessing this box will be equally as nice in my collection. ![]() I do think the film selection in the first box was a bit better, but really, there's not much to complain about in regards to the selection here either. I suppose my biggest complaint would be that many of these would probably be up for release, even if they weren't included in here. I would liked to have seen some older and/or more obscure films from their catalog get the premium UHD treatment. |
