I have a place where I get cds from every once in a while. Seems like this year every time I've ordered from them when there is no sale going on and pay regular prices, they have one in the next day or two. I made a smallish order early early yesterday morning, and today they started their Harvest Sale where I coulda saved 15% on that order. I think they're doing it on purpose. At least I got to the point where I qualified for a free $10 gift certificate to use later.

Yes, it was only the bundle preorder that was available.
The regular sale starts on Halloween.

Even with Powerhouse Films/Indicator's next sale starting at the end of this month, I have been wondering when HMV will do another Criterion sale (there are a few titles I want to get, but if I was going to be strict and whittle the want list down, it would be for three or four titles (including three Rock Hudson films).

Also hoping Screen Archives do another Classicflix sale before the end of this year as there are a couple of titles which have been on my want list for a bit now.

I wish they put up Olive's entire catalog for these sales. The Return of Dracula is missing again.

If these go out of print, Kino or another boutique label will probably just re-license many of them and give superior transfers/editions (it has already happened with some past Olive titles). Not everything, of course...

Quite a few have gone to a company called Sandpiper (I think that's what's its called ) and same crappy transfers from a few reviews . If they get to Kino or Shout were in good hands .

Maybe, but I wouldn't bet on it. I bought several films noir from the Olive sale and I doubt any of them get licensed by Kino, though I would be happy if they did. The only recent license from Kino I might be interested in is He Walked By Night, and that was a pretty good ClassicFlix release, not Olive.
