i hear 6.5.5 is out? are you running that?

have you tried installing the android build thats out for it?

I haven't tried 6.5.5 and I'm not installing the Android rom until it is fully functional. Android is what this phone needs though, so I know I'll flash the Android Rom when its fully functional.

Well I tried the Energy Rom.....but it had some serious bugs. My phone froze up all the time. I was better off just keeping it stock and tweaking it. I've only tried that one rom and it was so buggy that I didn't care to try any others.

Last I heard about the Android rom is that it was still in its production phase but it could be loaded. Last thing I'm about to do is load another buggy ass rom on my phone. I'm better off keeping it stock.

Thats the thing. Why should I have to go through all that just for the phone to work? It should've worked out the box, but I'm the one to blame cause I should've researched it before hand. But thats ok because I won't make that mistake again...

agreed and agreed. next time you come to us first

but nah..its not all bad. i'm betting at some point people will get windows phone 7 running on that. then all will be good

People kept saying that Windows 7 Mobile wouldn't be possible on it. I'd love to put that on it if it were possible, but Android would be better.

officially its never happening..but just like how android is possible, wp7 should be possible as well

I got the Evo for a killer deal, $140 shipped, and then sold the Pre for $100. A friend had been doing the same with the iPhone. The difference is that he had to pay full price for the next gen iPhone but inturn he got more money for his old one, so he almost broke even. Now ATT is letting people upgrade earlier so he probably doesn't have to pay full price.

Phones are evolving at such a rapid pace, I expect to keep changing phones each year now.

I don't know about Sony Ericsson, but in my experience HTC's Sense UI is pretty crappy, too. That aside, HTC's build quality is usually lackadaisical, too.

if i knew how to do all that installing roms, I'd buy an android phone at install Sense on it.

Since I don't know how to do all that.... I rather not try to ruin a 500 dollar phone.
