this isn't a psychological thriller / drama or any wacked out indie film! this is Pixar we're talking about!

Yeah but we're not talking about 30 year olds, little children will be watching this

I think kids are tougher than you think. Pixar needs to go darker at some point, Incredibles and Up was a step in the right direction.

I've determined something I think would have made me enjoy Toy Story 3 a liiittle more....if
[Show spoiler]Bonnie had been where Bo Peep had went so that Woody could be with his girl like Buzz got to be with his
It wouldn't have improved it as much as it would have made me a little happier during the credits to see that

When Woody talks about
[Show spoiler]her being gone early in the movie
is the #3 saddest moment in the film for me.

Yes, but teaching Kids that the
[Show spoiler]villian wins isn't the way to go, the film is dark enough. I feel if they killed them off, then it would of not had given the satisfying ending the trilogy needs

[Show spoiler]
The ending would've been better to me if he had either kept the toys himself or passed them on to a family member, I don't like that they had him pass them on to someone else's family.

[Show spoiler]Him keeping them would have totally negated the theme of MOVING ON and THINGS CHANGE.

The only other character we know from his family is Molly. Introducing a new character from his family would give us even less connection than we have to Bonnie.

The point of him giving them to Bonnie is because she's like he was, she absolutely loves her toys and loves to get into the play time just like he used to do. She'll treat them the way he thinks they need to be treated.

She was a perfect owner to pass them on to.

agreed. it shocked me when
[Show spoiler]we learned she was gone
i wonder if Pixar
[Show spoiler]couldn't get the same actress? even though her voice not matching wouldn't be a horrible thing, it's not like she was a main character. or maybe they didn't have the "rights" to that type of toy? if they even need that sort of stuff.
i might listen to the commentary tonight, maybe they'll discuss this a bit.

Meh, Never bothered me,
[Show spoiler]I guess it wouldn't of worked if he gave them to his younger sister, because she's too old

yep, agreed 100%
[Show spoiler]not just moving on for Andy, but more importantly (i believe) for the toys. staying in the same house with someone they already knew wouldn't have been a big change.
not to mention
[Show spoiler]Molly was already too old as well as we saw her throwing away toys and into teenage girl stuff. Bonnie was PERFECT and i really enjoyed her character.

Isn't she like 13? Still at the cusp of the age at which kids still play with toys, even if they don't admit it to anyone else. Tempted to bump the score all the way up to 4/5 but I would have to get over my dislike of Lotso first.

Agreed, its definitely not about
[Show spoiler]moving on just for Andy, its about the toys as well (obviously since they are the main characters )

Next week my cousin and I are having a marathon of all 3 movies

Did you miss the part where
[Show spoiler]she called the toys junk, and chucked out her OWN toys?

I guess so, I'm sure Andy could've talked her into taking his though, they mean a lot to him and they're not something he could've really took to college or shoved into the attic.

She would of thrown them away anyway, they didn't mean that much to her and Andy couldn't do much about it if he's in College

So you prefer selfishness over sharing? Murder over survival?

You need to stop watching Pixar and go watch some horror movies.
