We do see Yavin in the teaser.
We see a shot of Finn with a blue lightsaber.
There is a shot of Captain Phasma (Gwendoline Christie), the chrome Stormtrooper, very briefly.
We do see Kylo Ren’s helmeted face.
We see Poe Dameron shoot down a TIE fighter.
A shot of Finn and Poe walking past one another at the base.
Rey is in a few shots.
There is a shot of Poe Dameron, Artoo-Detoo, See-Threepio, and a CGI character (Rose).
BB-8 socketed in the back of an X-wing.
Kylo Ren’s Imperial shuttle flys by with TIE escorts to the Star Destroyer (it is the one MakingStarWars.net wrote about)

Default An Updated info on the next trailer.

Recently, a bulleted list of details explaining what will be in the trailer popped up from Making Star Wars.

Now (Star Wars Underworld,) in conjunction with (ikwiz and That Hashtag Show,) have additional details on the trailer:

[Show spoiler] The opening sequence begins on the desert landscape, a dusty star destroyer crashed into the sand. Looks like it’s been there for many years.
Following cut, characters Rey and Finn and our favorite rolling robot BB-8 are making their way through a crowd in the fleamarket a very Tatooine-ish type of scenario.
Next, we have Rey looking through the trees, in a Yavin-like scenario, as TIE fighters fly overhead.
The next scene he told us about, were pilots running to their ships in their old-school style X-wing gear… yeah… orange!
Now it really starts to get interesting… Towards the end of the trailer, from behind, we will see Han Solo, vest and all. Complete traditional garb, the way we remember his, as he sits down and re-acquaints himself with the cockpit of the Millennium Falcon.
As if this wasn’t good enough – brace yourselves – because this last scene has not been described by any other website yet. As far as we know, this is an exclusive…
This last scene shows a gloved hand pulling something out of a pile of ash. As it comes into the clear, it begins to take the shape of Vader’s former helmet… what’s left of it. Here’s the interesting part:
Remains of a skull still reside in the helmet.

The above image is an artist’s recreation from what the source saw in the footage, which apparently has not been reported by any other source. Only a week and a half to go before the trailer hits the airwaves…

I don't like the last part. I have to admit that it kind of gave me chills to read that
[Show spoiler]we'll be seeing Anakin's remains, but I always liked to believe that Anakin disappeared and became a force ghost when he died and that Luke was only burning Vader's armor. Why would Luke put the helmet back on Anakin when his last wish was for it to be taken off?

^ Of course it is. The Force needs balance, Luke will train both a Jedi and a Sith.

I'm at the crossroads right now. I haven't seen the teaser trailer for Star Wars and I decided a while back that I was going to avoid the trailers as best as I could to be surprised opening night. Well my girlfriend thinks I'm crazy because I plan on waiting in the lobby during the previews before Avengers. Should I try to avoid trailers or should I just bite the bullet?

I say watch the trailers. All they can do is get you more excited for the movie, and that's not a bad thing. Don't worry too much about them spoiling anything, we're talking a couple minutes of footage from a movie that will most likely be over two hours long.

not only that, it's J.J. Abrahms... he's notorious for keeping things as tightly to the vest as he can

Why my post about the new Lucasfilm Ltd fan fare deleted? Can any mod tell me what's wrong? Not fighting against any rules but please kindly explain the reason.

It's related to Episode VII, as that is most probably how the film will begin without the 20th Century Fox fan fare. The video is just a few seconds and the films already legally available globally. Youtube would've removed it if it's not legit.
