I finally sold my copy. I just got burned out on it and to be honest, I still feel like this game isn't what Bungie advertised it to be. The mechanics are great and the graphics are nice to look at. However at the end of the day, I feel like this is a rather small game that is cleverly disguised to appear to be a large game, with the only replay value being that you grind to level your character up. All that would have been OK, if the game had a compelling story to follow but it doesn't. It's completely devoid of anything that resembles a cohesive story or memorable characters.

When Bungie first started hyping Destiny, I thought it was basically going to be an MMO first person shooter with vast worlds to explore, weapons, armor, abilities to discover, interesting characters to meet, and quests to go on. Basically I thought this game was going to be an FPS Elder Scrolls game in space that you play along side others. However that's not at all what this game is. I held out to see if the DLC would significantly add anything to the game but unfortunately the expansions are disappointing. I guess shame on me for being misled into thinking this game was something that it's not.

Oh and also worth mentioning, I'm still pissed at Bungie for not giving us the option to either remove or ghost the HUD. It caused NASTY image retention on my plasma screen that took over 2 months to finally fade away.

You will regret that decision for a very long time, assuming IB doesn't drop for you. It's a game-changer, and THE one must-have weapon of the game. Hope you get lucky with nightfall and raid drops!

I've only been playing about 3 weeks, and it didn't take me a week to start feeling like Bungie is having me make a mountain out of a mole-hill. Nevertheless, the addiction factor is still there as I still haven't gotten to max Level and only have 1 exotic thus far, which obviously is where I'm being suckered (for lack of a better word) to keep going. But I don't feel ripped off as 3 weeks into it I more than got my $40 worth (got the game on sale) considering most games at full $60 retail I'm one-and-done within 10 hours (which is why I use Gamefly for most of my gaming). I gather by the time I'm L32 and have gotten some worthy exotics I'll probably give the other classes a try before boredom kicks in, so I think I have at least another month or two before I call it quits unless the next or future DLCs have significant content. Overall I think it was still well worth it in the long-run.

LOL, sorry.

There have been thousands of people feeling the same way for months who didn't take advantage when Xur sold both Ice Breaker and Gjallarhorn very early on after release. I was able to get an Ice Breaker at the time, but didn't have the coins when Gjallarhorn was sold. I finally got one to drop a couple weeks ago.

Not RNG, I have none of that in this game. I worked hard and grinded out the crucible to level 3.

It comes stock with firefly.

Thought about trying to get IB gauntlets for my Warlock too. Been such a grind though with Titan that I'm just burnt out. Did hit level 2 but a long way to go. If I had tomorrow off maybe would have been easier.
