I was reading some reviews they all seem to be really positive, but what was up with gamespot they were pretty harsh .

Snatched up my Hero Edition for $59.99. What...a...steal.

Awesome game, neato statue, and hella cool backpack. next time i go out of town im using that backpack for sure, really dig the one strap and its comfortable.

Played the game for about 15 mins yesterday...which is nothing I know but I'm recently married to a girly girl that requires more attention than an infant so its hard to make time for games. Only being 15 mins in I already dig it, I felt right at home controlling Cole. Can't wait to really dive in.

Free inFAMOUS 2 UGC Vehicles Pack, Search Function Available Now on PSN

The very first inFAMOUS 2 User-Generated Content Pack is available now on the Playstation Network, and it’s completely free! In the coming weeks and months, we will be releasing more free content updates that will add new objects to User Generated Content (UGC). In this first of many UGC updates, you’ll gain access to a number of vehicles from the single-player missions of inFAMOUS 2: Bertrand’s Limo, Bertrand’s Semi-Truck, the New Marais Police Car, the Ambulance, and a bike. Heal injured pedestrians from the flipped over ambulance and protect them from the swarm of enemies. Help the New Marais Police department from incoming attack from the Vermaak 88 Ice Soldiers. Or hunt down that pesky bicycle thief.

Over 50,000 user-created missions have been submitted to inFAMOUS 2 and you’ll need a way to find the missions you want to play. We are happy to announce Missions Search: Simply pause the game, bring up your UGC menu, and search by any term you wish, including PSN user names.

New to UGC? Be sure to check out the inFAMOUS 2 UGC tutorial videos that guide you through the tech and concepts behind great UGC missions. These tutorials will help guide you in creating missions, understanding how logic boxes work, setting waypoints, implementing triggers, and more. inFAMOUS 2 DLC: Festival of Blood Drowns PSN in October



Hello there PlayStation.Blog readers! Hopefully, all of you inFAMOUS fans have had a chance to play plenty of the UGC missions since our June launch. Here’s a fun fact: Players have spent a total of 451,251 hours – or 51 years – playing those UGC missions. While those missions have kept you entertained, it’s now time for a major DLC announcement.

inFAMOUS 2 Festival of Blood will be a brand new standalone single player DLC for download via PSN. Vampires swarm New Marais, and revered superhero Cole MacGrath has been bitten. To save his soul – and the city – he has just one night to find and kill the head vampire. Featuring new missions, themed environment settings, plus new characters and enemies, Festival of Blood explores the darker side of the inFAMOUS universe. Previous inFAMOUS games will not be needed to play this DLC.

The DLC will swarm PSN in October, in time for Halloween. In the meantime, here is the first piece of high-res art and a new video teaser trailer during Pyre Night in New Marais. Enjoy!

inFAMOUS 2 Content Pack 2 Now Available! Switches & Foliage!

UGC in inFAMOUS 2 continue to growing at an amazing rate! Over 60,000 missions have been created and over 51 years has been spent playing UGC missions. Yes! 51 years! We are thrilled that everyone is enjoying UGC and are happy to announce our second Content Pack for inFAMOUS 2, Switches & Foliage.

The first part of the pack are Switches. This new object group allows Cole to interact with an items in the world, like a pipe valve. This opens up countless doors for new and exciting ways to make UGC missions. Have Cole turn off the bombs set to blow up New Marais. Pull the lever to open a door or perhaps it is a trap, there are tons of new options for you to create in your UGC missions with Switches.

The second part of the pack is Foliage. We have all types of foliage for you to use now, over 80 different items for you to place in your missions. Planters, tree stumps, dead trees, large trees, bushes, and more.

i havent played the game since i upgraded my ps3's hdd from 320 to 500. will the content packs download as soon as i put the game in?

Probably. I'm not sure if it's actually new content or they're just unlocking stuff already in the game.

I'm still within the first half, but hot damn.

83% on metacritic? It would have to seriously suck in the second half to get that low for me. It's a AAA game and one of my most enjoyable experience ever in gaming so far. I mean, seeing all those thugs and mutants disappear in an Ion storm the first time was pure awesome.

The game is great I think the first one is still better though. Mainly because I liked Empire City better than New Marais.

83% is not a bad score by any means. I agree with that score because the game doesn't really do anything new or innovative, but it sticks to what it does well from the first one.

I don't know too many open-world games with built-in UGC - a mission creator. It's not as accessible as LBP but there's improvements still to come with the PS Move control patch.

Being more of the same's one of those blanket criticisms people don't apply to their favourite games, even if they're just as samey as something they will criticise for it.

Does the importing of trophy data from i1 happen automatically? Just bought the game and i don't see any option for doing it.

I believe there has to be game data of the first game present on the HDD for the game to import the trophies.
