Thanks! Not a movie I think I *needed*, but for that price it was hard to pass up as the Sony MOD discs rarely drop below $35.

Now if Fright Night and Robin & Marian can have similar drops, I'll be set.

Thanks again for the heads up!

Anybody else starting to dislike amazon.ca? Especially for pre-orders? I pre-ordered Ultraman Leo steelbook and because amazon didn't update the release date (from April to May), when the old release date came they cancelled my pre-order and now it's listed as unavailable (even though it hasn't been released yet).

I pre-ordered Resident evil Village months ago but the day it was released it became out of stock (and I got a notice I'd receive it in two weeks, we're talking about a game that was available on the first day in Best buy stores).

And now there's Scream Factory's release of King Kong 1976 that i've had on pre-order since it was made available and we are finally on the release date and it's unavailable and there is no estimate for when i'll get it.

Amazon have fallen hard in the last year, they've become really bad at this. I ordered two items for Mother's Day a week and a half before and both items were in stock. I wrote 3 times to customer service to make sure I'd get my items on time (I chose amazon because of free delivery) and they reassured me it was definitely coming before Mother's Day. Well by last Friday they still hadn't shipped and when I wrote to complain to customer service about it I got told I would get my items in June since they were both out of stock. I was not impressed. Had to cancel both items, pick one of them at Archambault and ordered the other one on Renaud Bray (and receive it late the day after Mother's Day). Had I not been given false information by amazon I would have cancelled my items a long time ago and gotten them elsewhere on time.

Lesson learned, I'll go elsewhere from now on. :/

Honestly they've been fine with me but I've only ordered in stock items. I've given up on pre-orders especially for ARROW LE's. I wanted Bill Rebane, apparently Diabolik is about to start shipping this week and Amazon Canada still doesn't even have a placeholder. Years of Lead, Daimajin Trilogy, Trails of Vengeance, William Grefe etc have never made it. William Grefe has a placeholder but Amazon Canada never sold it, a third party listed it and was selling copies. I don't know if UV is tired of Amazon undercutting their pricing and stopped supplying them with the multi disc sets, or Amazon stopped ordering after they had to cancel Gamera orders and some of the Al Adamson, or if UV can't compete because Amazon would ship all these titles for free as they'd be over the $35 threshold so that puts UV at another disadvantage with their $10 policy, but I used to like buying those sets in Canada. It seems like all Criterion titles are on Amazon Canada almost as soon as UV lists them on their site, Arrow not so much

Yeah, with Arrow LE I don't take any risks and I pre-order on UV. They are more expensive than i'd like but outside of Tremors 4k LE that I was able to get last year, I just don't trust amazon.ca.

I had a pretty good experience ordering Crash and Cinema Paradiso through amazon.ca fulfilled by Rarewaves. It looked cheaper than anywhere else and they sent it via royal mail so I didn't have to pay duty.

Solid price for sure, I just ordered. The double feature pack from Mill Creek of Toy Soldiers and December thats coming out next month looks to be around $30 and is both movies crammed on one disc so the Sony MOD release looks to be the better choice.

What the... why would they do that? I use open orders all the time for figuring out if I want to cancel anything.

I think they are trying to hide how many outstanding orders people have. as far as i know 3 warehouses are closed in the Toronto area. and that has been really messing up delivery times

I don't see it on mine either? definitely used to be there...I usually would have at least one
or two items sitting there for a month or longer, if waiting for an item.

Mine was available earlier today (like 20 min ago) and just now it's gone. Hope it comes back, the filter options suck...

Try going to the "Buy Again" tab. "Open Orders" seems to reappear in that view.

Yeah, this works for me -- I can see the tab for Open Orders only after clicking on Buy Again.
