I definitely feel like the Saturday Night Live cast of the most recent years is the best they've had in a while... Fred Armisen, Bill Hader, and Kristen Wiig can't be topped, I don't think. Personally, if I had to pick a dud in the current cast, the only one that I could do without is Andy Samberg. He's basically the newest Jimmy Fallon who was the newer Adam Sandler. I wish Amy Poehler could've stayed but I enjoy "Parks And Recreation," so I can't blame her for that.

Just remember that for every great one thing that comes out of any decade there are always, at least, two crappy things that come along. It's inevitable.

Yeah, I actually watch the new cast, but for a while it sucked. It was sucking near the end of Will Ferrell.

But my fav was the years of 93-95 with Norm Macdonald, David Spade, Kevin Nealon, Mike Myers, Tim Meadows, Phil Hartman, Chris Farley, Michael McKean, Adam Sandler, Rob Schneider, etc.

I like how you brung up Sandler and Fallon. While they laughed in every skit, Fallon's laughing made Will Ferrell more funny.

Am I the only one here that was a kid around the Power Rangers crap? I mean the original, not all of the spin-offs.

I agree. If I watched Boy Meets World today, I might bash my T.V. in.

I was in high school, by then. I did come up with a good idea for a parody of the Power Rangers. No one in Hollywood has ever optioned it.

My idea is to have a bunch of teenage junkies, call them the Mighty Morphine Power Rangers. They shout, "It's Morphine Time!" Shoot up and then "fight bad guys", which are really just hallucinations. You could go to "real" cam, and they would be lying on the ground twitching and shouting.

Cool!!!!!!!! It's sad they wouldn't make that these days. Not because of the content, but because everything has to be "reality" T.V.

Reality T.V. could of been great like 30-40 years ago. I can see:

"Real DragQueens of New York"
"So You Think You Can Disco?"
"Jersey Shore" (Can't find a worse name than that But have crackheads instead of "Juiceheads")

Have reality shows of singer/songwriters Lou Reed, David Bowie, Iggy Pop, Marc Bolan, etc.

Oh and T.V. studios, don't try to take my ideas (besides Jersey Shore, that's all yours.). I'll sue. Unless you want to buy my ideas.

And yes, I did quote myself.

I feel Thursday's announcements won't have anything of interest for me. Hausu I can see buying. I can feel a Darjeeling Limited or Seven Samurai (though will prob be saved for November/December) if they don't go the "all-horror" month.

My guesses:

HAUSU
ANTICHRIST
FOLLOWING
THE DARJEELING LIMITED or VIDEODROME

WILDCARD:

NIGHT OF THE HUNTER would save the month (Breathless was quick to be announced after newsletter, so this could too.)

Yeah, on the facebook someone asked if they would find out about Hausu on Thursday and Criterion, who seem to have taken to facebook and twitter lately with responses and such, made it sound like it would def be announced thursday.

along with that, though, someone was speculating what the cover for Antichrist would end up being, and they responded by saying they wanted to know too cause they haven't received it. i guess october is a good ways off, but it seems like they would at least have an idea of it at this point, unless they pull a thin red line/no cover for a while. the best suggestion over there was a minimalist close-up of a clitoris, to which i added should have "evil" ever so faintly written/tattooed onto it
