I'm anticipating this film will have a great blend of old-school practical with modern cgi, like Lord of the Rings back in the day. I honestly think that's way to make movies now-- Both the Star Wars prequels and even Peter Jackson's Hobbit films I think are examples of films that skew too far into cgi/green-screen and have too much of an "artificial" cartoony look to them.

Yes, it seems like there'll be a good balance between practical effects and CGI, which makes me happy.

Yes, yes it was. I have liked it since the teaser trailer. Hopefully it is the equivalent of R2 and C3PO from the OT and not Jar Jar from the Prequels.

I really like the way he sounds too. That's something people don't stop to consider but his "voice" actually adds to his likeability IMO.
