I think it's only an issue because its the first level, and you still getting acclimated with the game and controls. You will see several situations where you have to rapidly hit the O button. The best indicator I can give you is the location of the button is in a different place when you need to do that, and also its animated showing the button being pressed over and over.

I'm surprised you didn't have trouble with the "kick the box" without having it get smashed by arrows from archers part on the first level. That gave me problems on more than one occasion, and I know how to do it.

im so glad i didnt get that glitch, how many people on this site had to go through again because BB3 didnt unlock when it was supposed to? it seems like a lot of people missed it at first

Picked this game up at BestBuy for $29.99. Started GoW and I'm loving it. Can't wait to get to GoW II since I heard the graphics are that much more polished.

the graphics are a lot better to begin with, and the HD upgrade makes it even better because theres a lot more expansive and colorful scenery to take advantage of the HD

My first time playing this game and loving every bit of it...did have a problem with Hydra at ending of the first level but after doing some searching I finally got pass it....

I was just going to come in here and make a new thread about the box... what the F is this? Holy crap!

I just bought the game on Saturday. I never owned a PS2, so I figured I should try the games before God of War III.

Anyways, so far the balance beam sections are kind of annoying. And then I came upon the box...

Kick the Box... kicks my a$$... WOW! What is this... my character can jump to the level of the ropes looking net-things near the arrow launcing guys, but he cannot grab it.

So, I tried to move the box... run away so they shoot me and not the box... move the box a bit more and repeat... well, they keep destroying the box because I cannot initially lock onto the box with R2. Stupid controller.

Anyways, I actually almost said "screw it" and did not want to play again... I am sure I will try again soon. Frustrating!

I meant the bad guys shooting arrows, but you can kill the people too, if you want. The humans drop green orbs.

Also, when you kick the box, make sure you get the full kick (wait til Kratos is done grunting. It'll be like, "HrrrrrrruuuuunnNNNNNNNNNN," and then he'll stop. That's when you let go of the button to kick it as far as you can).

Need a little help folks....made all the way to Posidons area...I am at the part where you have to drag the solider trap in the cage to sacrifice...once I start pushing him up the hill, I get attack by the armor knights NONSTOP....is that the way how its suppose to be...or did I miss something...

Couldn't find anything on it at all...just keep fighting
