This is what I heard vs what I remembered from the X-32 vs what I hear from the X-34 but the Focus 260 remains even more open than the Excite, I think the X34 are quite nice actually.

So then you think x14 with UQ2 would better or equal than XEO 3? I'm talking bass only.

I would think it'd be equal or pretty close. When I had the DM2/6s connected to the XS, I was pretty happy with the bass response I was getting.

As for amp suggestion I will say look for a used 5 italic. As Steve will tell you they mate very well with Dys so are Sugden

Thanks for all the suggestions guys, but I really am quite pleased with what I'm hearing from the Excite X12's so for. I will look into adding an AI to the mix, but will have to wait to see if my job holds out. Dropping like flies here at the office.

Don't forget the X-14 are an evolution of the X-12 so I would think they should be pretty darn close.

Yea, you remember that eh? that was back in 09, was out for about 8 months until finally getting back in. Circumstances are a bit different this time, but still dire.
They let a whole bunch more go this morning, but still here. I got the Great CEO watching over me though, so it's all good either way.

Hi all,

everybody always speaks about Dynaudio tweeters and the differences between them, does anybody know what are the differences between Dynaudio woofer lines?
I have the Dynaudio focus 110 and I'm looking for a little more bass, I was thinking to get a used DM2\7 and put the Focus 110 crossover and tweeter in the DM2\7 cabinets (I know that the DM2\7 cabinets are cheaper look and made).
does anybody knows what is the difference between the DM2\7 woofer and the Focus 160 woofer? what are their model #?
I also would like to know what do you think on my idea? (in Hong Kong the Focus 160 price is almost the same as the contour s1.4 and it's out of my budget for now).

The focus 160s and contours pretty much share the same tech while the DM lines basically has improvements from the older Audience line.

you know if they discontinue a line - they've already got a new one in the works! A sad day would be Dynaudio going out of business, this is more of a transition paradigm
